What Are Your Favorite Products For: Dry Skin?

 I am wondering if this particular batch is so solid or we got sold a bad batch??  For the record, this is in Texas heat and my husband and I are in our early 30's. Tried returning it but unfortunately, seller does not have a return policy which I understand. I should just have stuck to Aquaphor which was doing a great job. I hate to waste money

I have similar skin to yours and I use Vaseline or cerave healing ointment every night over moisturizer. It’s great and really helps with the super dry skin I get around my eyes and mouth.

I am in my thirties and am white (very pale/can’t tan type of skin).  People with my skin type seem to age faaaast. My skin is incredibly dry.  It doesn’t matter how much water I drink.  I am not on birth control, and hormone balance etc. is within normal range as per recent blood tests. My question is this: is Vaseline bad or not? I love it.  I read here about the benefits, but my dermatologist advised against it.  I mean it is petroleum jelly.  Are there any studies that show if it is good/harmful? Do we know that it helps with anti-ageing? Also down for personal experiences with it.

Also triggered my eczema when used on my body and made me super itchy. I’ve used other products that have salicylic acid and it wasn’t this bad. Cerave in general perhaps just isn’t great for my skin so might work for others.
