 Now a lot of people complain saying eight CR 13 is pretty much no should not be used at all, but gobs and gobs and knives. Are you know by CRKT, kershaun, etc? Are it's used a lot?  I have the ad ten ad 15 for max the frenzy two different recon and I don't even on run but yeah I got those knives. This is sharp. This knife is sharp. Okay, it's sharp out of the box and it's a 57 ething 57 huh

 You just have to start the engine and put it and drive and go about a half a block, and I that's enough to drive me insane. Um low profile clip that's fine! That works fine. I don't have a big with that and you know he have this little lockout mechanism, so you can't disengage that that's fine with me, I'm okay with that, but the type of steel they used on this and then I don't know that they really did a lot Of I don't know, they just didn't show this this design a lot of love with the way this was put out, but it was put out to be really cheap.  Con for this knife is the knife clip, so tight next to impossible to clip in pocket, also not a deep carry clip, the only thing keeping this from an every day carry is extra super tight non-deep carry clip and wobble in the blade. Hopefully cold steel sells a deep carry clip that is a good design unlike what the crawford defective clip comes with. Below Average knife, terrible pocket clip.  Ramp works very nice in assisting to close it to get your blade started, give it a little flick and you're closed great little knife by cold steel, [, Music, ] 

 So this guy comes in at 8.38. Inch overall length has a really nice black and od green grivex handles lanyard hole and it is a rear, flipper single sided pocket clip with dual lock blade is three and a half inch four zero. Three four stainless steel blade

Very Hard to Deploy

 The grip is quite thin. It'S less than a half-inch thick about almost a sixteenth of an inch thinner than a half an inch, so it's quite thin and flat, and it's got a stainless steel clip a liner, lock and safety. So it's a flipper and the liner lock. What I what I like about this is the line of Locker came out so well that this life passes our impact tests without the secondary safety even engaged

 I'M just gon na take it out of the box here, it's got a three and a half inch blade and the classic shoot knife. If you will pattern, this was a clip point pattern that became popular and we're back in the 70s and 80s, and it's continued because it's really versatile works for a lot of different tasks and it's really an awesome blade shape for a full day knife or a Boot knife and what I like about it is it has an acute point and again I always touched the web in my hand, right here with the pointed, does judge how our point is, and I can feel that pricked me pretty good. So it's got a sharp point, but it's a pretty sturdy point: it's not flimsy! It'S not too thin. It'S pretty sturdy for a clip point and it's quite sharp

 You can't possibly go forward on the blade, so it works well on that. It also works. Really awesome in a reverse grip feels really natural here your hands just locked in there and you know your hand, isn't going to move so you've got tremendous leverage with that. Locked wrist and the reverse grip, so switches back and forth easily and accommodates lots of gripping methods is easy to choke up on it for fine work, just a very versatile handle that allows you to hold it in a lot of different ways

Got a replacement that works fine. Love the blade design, easy to open, comfortable to carry, thin, nice grips, easy to sharpen, not too heavy. Nice medium duty knife.

 That flipper is so big that it hits your fingers before the blade does. So you really have to worry about it, anyways, but you as long as you have it locked up. You wouldn't have to worry about it super safe. I like that blade design

 As of the end of 2021, so 32 on either one of them, um you're gon na get a little bit sharper knife, but they're really two different schools of thought on knives. Um. This video is not about the caracara it's about the crawford. So, let's keep talking about it

 So there it is a nice two-tone, green and black design. It'S got the crawford one logo on this side. It says cold. Steel, it says i mean i'm gon na do that taiwan, so it's made in taiwan and it's 40 34 stainless steel, which is a softer steel

 Uh, it gets two thumbs up from me and you know i have no problems recommending it. The blade locks up good seems like good quality, and it's only 32 bucks right now. I think, used to like a couple years ago. I think this knife sold for like 45 50 bucks, so you can find a little bit cheaper now so good deal, it's a good knife, and i like it thanks for watching this review thanks for watching this review i'll see in the next video see ya

This would be a great knife, except for the fact that the rubber material on the handle under the pocket clip makes it nearly impossible to remove the knife from your pocked one handed, I wish they had put a plastic section under that part of the handle to remedy this problem.

Pocket clip/rubber handle combo makes this knife extremely hard to withdraw from your pocket!

I normally love Cold Steel knives but this one does nothing for me. It’s just okay in my opinion. It seems to work but I just don’t like the way it feels or looks. Could just be me though

Meh.

 Japanese and Taiwanese machining, hot/cold tempering is superb, factory edge sharpening rivals custom hand sharpening.  Yeah I think overall we can loosen the clip, sand down or epoxy fill the rubber panel under the clip, but if your model arrives as difficult to open as mine, you should get a replacement or wing it and send it in for warranty adjustment. The difficulty of opening is a non-starter. I accepted the hard-to-unlock early TriAd locks, but a "tactical" knife that needs a vice and gloves to open is not acceptable

  Here's what I don't like:  - That big shiny blade. Why not satin? - The pukey green rubber inset in the FRN plastic handle - strange shape and color. Overall handle effect looks either cheap or like a toy, although of course it is neither. Functionally, a solid grip

 On the other hand in typical "knife failure" tests on YouTube from BladeHQ I've yet to see a tested liner-lock actually slide off the rear of the blade and allow the blade to close more than an inch or too. + As I sit here writing this, I'm tempted to send this into Cold Steel for a warranty inspection. I know we are all stuck with impossibly tight Cold Steel pocket clips, but my Luzon is buttery smooth opening, as is my Ti Lite, this Crawford 1 shouldn't be so problematic. Cold Steel stands by its products is the main point

 + Compared to Y2K pricing, quality, features, this IS dirt cheap even at current $37 Amazon pricing. + Assuming you can get it out of your pocket AND open before your assailant dies of boredom, this undoubtedly has a high "tactical" functionality, the ergonomics are right up there with Emerson's. + I've had doubts for years about a bad grip or slip in grip accidentally disengaging conventional liner locks. This very inexpensive albeit well-made Cold Steel solves the problem with an easy-to-operate slide safety

If you like the design, it's the usual Cold Steel 5-star product; just not my cup of tea
