 Their magnet picks up right about there, which is about what you'd expect for a more a knife, and is that not necessarily mean that it's a junky blade? It'S garbage the more as I've been used for years and years very durable, they're attached real well just because, as a half time does not mean it's garbage, it saves on materials and costume, allows this thing to be about a 10 $ 12. Blade comes with your very generic standard style, sheath Cordura here with a belt loop on the backside. That, of course, can be used as a neck knife, if you want to for this, which would be dandy or a standard belt line um when you put this in the sheath kind of like your standard, Bushman's you're gon na have to push this thing in to Get it security, go pilots, not a whole lot of cheap lengths for this thing. Well, it's not

 This thing doesn't have a guard on it, which may scare some of you scared me a little bit when I first ordered it, but I saw enough good refuse now the polypropylene grips on this thing are very different than your standard wooden grips on your classic Morris. This thing is ribbed, I'm gon na get closer to the camera. Hopefully the camera can pick that up there. That ribbing adds a lot of grip, a tremendous amount of grip, a lot more than you think it would if this thing is wet

 I would say this is my favorite overall standard we're working to does the job for skinning and game and all that basic around the campsite. But this is more of your woodworking tool. Cold Steel Finn Bear Fixed Blade Review

I bought this after having good experiences with the Lite version of the Pendleton, but this one isn't quite up to that standard for me. The blade is very sharp and clean and holds up well, but isn't as ergonomic for me to handle given the grip dynamics, which feel like the blade is sticking out of a dowel, despite the tapered cross-section. I just can't get a very good cutting grip on it, especially for using the lower part of the cutting edge vs the tip, and edge-alignment isn't as natural. Also, the way the knife sits down so far in the plastic scabbard makes it very difficult to get a hold of to draw--there isn't much handle exposed to grab onto

Pretty good value for the money

 I'Ve used all all this past winter for for fire wood processing. I made over 100 fires to heat my house and between a small hatchet and this knife. It got the job done every single time, there's no issues whatsoever. It'S definitely a strong knife blade still on here is that 41:16 Krupp stainless and it's been fine there's

 First, the sheath. This is just a very simple Cordura, sheath, nothing, crazy, nothing, expensive or fancy. It just gets the job done holds uh this much handle here. Cuz the handle ends right here and we have the blade

 Like I said, it's really held up. I'Ve smacked on this handle quite a bit. It is not chipped broke. Anything in fact, with a little bit of water cleaned up pretty nicely

It'S it's totally held up and you could say there's a lot of use on this guy's. This is probably my most used knife this past year, user for all kinds of stuff. Besides the baton, I use it to cut up some cardboard, some plastic, the edge it doesn't hold a great edge

A diminished version of a famous knife

As reviewer AROW said, the older version of the Finn Hawk had a sharper spine grind and no apparent micro bevel. The newer ones seem to be buffed a bit shinier with less pronounced grind lines. I was hoping for the older production. Still a nice knife for the price

 The sheath is still impossibly tight despite me running a square file in there a couple dozen times. I think the sheath may be glass-filled nylon which makes it hard.  I don't have a problem with the newer one having a bit of micro bevel. TOO acute an angle on the blade will tend to roll, chip or dull easily

 Then I got this knife, it's a backup so that I can survive. I can you know start a fire. If I have to, I could do very minimal. Batana varied

 You know the spine is semi thin, so it's a little uncomfortable when I'm pushing really hard. But you know that's just the nature of any thin knife. It ragazze, if it's an SE 3 or this $ 12 cold steel thin, bear either way. You know it's just a little uncomfortable when you're pushing but can definitely do the tasks you need them to do out here in the wilderness

 Get a wicked sharp edge on it and it's a stainless. So it's not going to rust on you, so if you're in you know really humid environment or snowy and wet a lot of time, you know this is designed after the Finn. Obviously bear Finn f-i-nn. You know after Scandinavian knives, you know so, if you're in moist environments, where you're worried about high carbon knives rusting on you for 12 bucks, this isn't bad

 You get this nice cut, adora sheath a durable, strong, its friction tension. So the knife doesn't come out nice little nylon belt loop. Nothing! Fancy at all about this chief at all, but it's durable. You know it's going to hold up a long time very slim lightweight

 For the boat, due to the corrosive nature of the salt water, I only buy stainless blades that won't rust too easily for general outdoor use. This Finn Bear is a good general use stainless bladed knife for this purpose and can cut bait with the best of them. It needs a hole in the handle to tie around the wrist when out on the water, but alas it does not have a hole. I will drill one in the end of the handle for this purpose

 My everyday carry knife for a long time now really happy with this thing, and I beat the crap out of this. You can see there's a lot of junk on the blade. I use this every single day, whether it's opening a package of hot dogs or meat or out in the woods but taunting with it and ID baton my knives and beat on really bad. It’s hard to complain given the inexpensive price but I was a bit disappointed with this knife. The light, hard plastic handle is my biggest complaint, it just feels cheap. The blade is a bit more robust than you would think, although not full tang, so it seems mismatched with the inferior handle. The sheath is styled after the plastic Moras so it functions and holds the knife Well

The ergonomics are amazing, but the steel is less than par. The stainless steel chips a LOT and is not very durable. It holds an edge for a very long time but the price being payed for that edge I find too much. The very tip chipped off, not that you can still pierce, making it less effective at its job
