 I'd suggest just going from one corner to the opposite corner helps distribute the pressure evenly. If you put it to performance, it's simply just going to turn up the pump speed to max and the fan speed, it's going to give a larger fan curve. So you see at 20c it's at 40%.  Next we're going to go ahead and remove the old thermal paste from our CPU. To do this I'm using a coffee filter because I don't have any ospro pool alcohol and just had to use it. Now I forgot to show me installing the backplate. If you're installing it for Intel there is a black backplate you just push on behind your motherboard and that's what the actual standoffs I'm holding here screw into

Corsair H115I Liquid CPU Cooler Review and Installation Guide

This CPU is hands down a decent deal cooler than my 5900X. For example in FFXIV in very high population areas with a Heavy Gshade, my 5900X would be at 72-80c depending on the area and getting 70-90fps. Now with the 5800X3D with the same exact cooler (Corsair Hydro H115i 280mm) Im not only getting 110-140fps in those same high playercount areas, but also temps stay within 64-70c.

Is there any negative effect for cooling CPUs with 3D V-cache?

 The instructions state they recommend "in-take" for best performance. I would have to disagree, There are numerous websites and tutorials that say there is no difference between push or pull, but I've done experiments. I did push and pull experiments with the stock heatsink/fan and definitely pull extracts more heat than push. I would rather pull heat out of my case than try to pull cooler air into the case

 The fans go into HIGH when the core temps reach about 175F, and Core Temp as well as CPUID show temps up to 210F (I don't think these apps go higher).  Since I've been monitoring my temps, my cruising temps have been around 150-180F, and when I browse the web, it kicks up to 210F. Without trying a bunch of things that cost a bucket of cash, I pulled out some peltier coolers which were supposed to be 6A, but barely pulled 1.5A so they didn't work very well

  Usually with my system NOT doing anything except simulations, the core temp would reach 99C (210F) and the simulations would hesitate and chop, so real-time simulation goes out the window.  I'm still keeping an eye on any extreme rise in temps and leaking. Rise in temps would mean algae and corrosion is developing in the system. Leaking

***** Update ***** It's been a few days and a weekend. My system has done everything from surfing the web to HQ CAD/CAM simulations (as well as concurrent simulations in conjunction with watching YouTube videos (which takes lots of CPU), and my temps haven't gone above 62C (143F), with no hesitation or chopping.  Usually with my system NOT doing anything except simulations, the core temp would reach 99C (210F) and the simulations would hesitate and chop, so real-time simulation goes out the window.  I'm still keeping an eye on any extreme rise in temps and leaking

 When it comes to the titanium DB score I'm going to go with a four point five and a gold award it's a really impressive if premium cooler from Corsair that does a decent job at both styling performance and temperatures and especially noise so that's my thoughts.  Mounting that was pretty easy, just use the included backplate and the included screws to mount the backplate to the motherboard, place the cooler on top, plug everything in and use the four nuts to hold it in place and otherwise that's pretty much it. If you're mounting on 2011 and 2066 then you just use the included screws with the backplate built into your motherboard and if you're using the AMD side of things, AM3 or AM4 or any of the other AM lineups or even FM lineups, just use the included mounting hardware that came with your motherboard including those plastic clips as that's how this mounts to all of the AMD setups. You can also with the Corsair Link software change the profile you have for the pump and both of the fans so if you want to set them to performance for the best performance possible on the pump, fans and everything else then you can do and I must say that even on the full performance mode with the CPU properly cranked up the cooler was actually pretty quiet you could hear it but that was only with the side panel off and when I put the side panel on you basically couldn't hear it so I'm really pretty impressed with that and especially if you just leave it on balanced I doubt you'll ever hear this pump even with the side panel off. Moving on to the testing for this as I said I was using the 7700K but the thing with the 7700K is that it has absolutely terrible thermal paste inside of it and therefore the temperatures and results that you'll see here may not necessarily be accurate to a lot of the other CPUs that you'll see including the higher end X299 chips and even the Threadripper ships and stuff like that so just bear that one in mind

 With that said I think the real difference and the real testament to the cooler that I saw was actually how quickly it returned from those 100 degree crazy temperatures under full load to the mid 30 degree temperatures after the stress testing was stopped. That did that almost instantly and I was really very impressed with how quickly it was able to return to that sort of temperature so while your chip if you are running a 7700K and running something like this will be still running pretty damn hot no matter what you're using the fact that it can return so quickly to nice and usable temperatures is a kind of testament to how well it does. Now of course if you want extra performance numbers there will be plenty of other reviews of this cooler out both today and in the coming weeks so feel free to check out some of the reviews if this is something you're planning on buying don't just take my word for it make sure you check other people's but in my general opinion this is pretty awesome. The overall pump design kind of it's a bit of your own taste and if you like it then you like it if you don't you don't but for me it's kind of almost an in between it kind of looks cool and especially once it's lit up it looks alright but it's not the nicest pump design I've seen kind of ever so kind of up to you if you like it but in terms of as I said it's performance and especially it's noise output I'm really very impressed

Corsair H115i Pro Review

 With the TEC in "Cryo" mode it actually got 5c warmer than my 280mm AIO H115i in CB23.

With the TEC in standby this cooler is absolutely horrible, it crashed my system by overheating it within 10 seconds in CB23. My H115i would hit around 65c max at 5Ghz all cores on the 10900K at the end of the run.. This thing went red almost immediately and my system crashed and reboot

Still only 4-stars because I had to completely disassemble my PC to install this 'no tools requires' solution. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  CPU now running 5 ~ 10°C Hotter then with the stock heat-sink and fan

 In the last 2 years (running full-load literally 24/7) I have NEVER hit 80°C, and that was using the stock fan and heatsink that came with the CPU.  The Bottom-Line: I was hoping to be able to reduce my peak-temps by 5~10 degrees, to help increase the life of my CPU (and maybe run BOINC at 100/100), but the H60 did the exact opposite and increased my average temps by 5~10°C.  I am going to try replacing the heat-compound that came pre-applied on the cooler with some Quick-Silver to see if that helps, but if I do not see a drastic improvement, this unit will be getting returned for a refund. At the moment, I have no reason to believe the unit is defective (fan runs, no leaks, and it does in fact cool the CPU - just not very well), so I must assume this unit is simply inadequate, and is not capable of performing as advertised

It may also be worth mentioning that when allowed to run under full-load for longer periods of time, the temp continued to increase, albeit at a very slow pace. Now I've been using the Corsair H100i V2 in my main system behind me for the last few years now and it's just crazy to compare the new one to the H100i V2 because this new H115i is just so much smaller but still delivers very good performance. The pump head has a square shaped and again is much smaller than the previous versions and has more of a black and silver design. And then of course you do get some really awesome looking RGB lighting

 How's it going everybody welcome back to the channel and as you guys can see for today's video we are going to take a look at the Corsair Hydro H115i RGB Platinum AIO cooler. So starting off with the pricing for the 280mm H115i, it is retailing for around $170 on Amazon or 2500 Rand on Rebel Tech here in South Africa. But you do also get the smaller 240mm H100i RGB Platinum that is going for around $160 or 2000 Rand. Now I've been using the Corsair H100i V2 in my main system behind me for the last few years now and it's just crazy to compare the new one to the H100i V2 because this new H115i is just so much smaller but still delivers very good performance

 And just for the radiator, it is made out of aluminum and does again support the two 140mm fans and has a standard 27mm thickness. The fans are Corsair's 140mm MLRGB Pro fans with 4 addressable LEDs and speech ranging from 400 all the way up to 2200rpm that pushes around 55 cubic feet of air per minute. As for fan noise, I tested it in my Corsair 500D case with the side panel open where it did actually stay pretty quiet and still you push it over 1500rpm and then it gets really noticeable at over 2000. Now moving on to the cooling performance, I used the H115i on my 8700K overclocked to 5GHz on all 6 cores at 1

 Also you can set to launch a program or even shut down your entire system after a few seconds just to keep your system safe. So in conclusion, just like always, Corsair's all-in-one cooler performs as well as ever and looks damn nice to boot. It is a bit pricey but for the performance and that you do get two 140mm RGB fans that's already pricey on its own, it's not actually that bad. But if you do want to save a few bucks, you can go for the non-RGB variant and get the same performance or if you don't want to go for the 280mm, just go for the 240mm version

Corsair H115i RGB Platinum Review - Best 280mm Liquid Cooler?

 To solve this issue I set up a custom profile for each to drop their speed back to 650 to 700 RPM with a gradual increase as the temperature increased. That is, the cooler liquid temperature. The fans are running much quieter and the cooler temperature stays at a reasonable level. Problem solved

  I installed the fans in a pull configuration, pulling air in from the top thru the radiator as recommended by Corsair. I used the pre-applied thermal paste, knowing that I could always go back, clean up the cpu and H110 cooling plate, and reapply thermal paste if this didn't work out -- it did.  The system consistently idles at 28-30 C per cell with packet temperature at 30-31 C. I ran the Intel Extreme Tuning application cpu test for 5 mnutes and at 100% load (at 4

 The fans are running much quieter and the cooler temperature stays at a reasonable level. Problem solved. Why the default speed was so high was beyond me. It is possible that this was because I already had installed Corsair Link to monitor my system with the other cooler

It Definitely Does The Job

5 especially, but Gen 5 to some degree, they're both a bit better than Gen 6 Asetek pumps for thermals. But the internal design for things like endurance should theoretically favor Gen 6. Gen 6 also gives a bit more control through software to what the pump's doing and when, some more fan speed controls, it can do control based on other temperatures instead of just liquid temperature. So if you want to change the pump speed, as long as the manufacturer allows it, you could theoretically modulate the pump speed based upon something other than liquid temperature, which is good, because that's kind of a dumb thing to modulate your pump speed based on

 So Gen 5 and Gen 6, in terms of thermal performance, they're about the same. Technically speaking, Generation 4.5 especially, but Gen 5 to some degree, they're both a bit better than Gen 6 Asetek pumps for thermals. But the internal design for things like endurance should theoretically favor Gen 6
