 And as for the sound signature for a wireless pair these are not terrible they're not amazing by any means like my Game One that have very good bass response and fantastic clarity for an open style headset. The Void Pros have very good clarity, nice detail and a lot of power. At 70% volume I was listening to things comfortably and gives you a little bit extra juice in there if you want to really blast your ears and surprisingly without distortion if you go to like 100% volume. In CSGO my map awareness through audio cues was very familiar so if you want to use this in competitive scene without the cord that works

 Not much has changed. So what Corsair has added now is a new flexible arm for the microphone, so it's just generally sturdier build but unfortunately it still feels kind of weak at that rotation point just like the original Void. Alright so this is what the microphone sounds like on the new Void Pros. They have added a mic mute functionality by simply pulling the mic up

 And that's for the surround sound itself it's using the Dolby surround sound and it's actually not terrible all it does is just widen the soundstage a little bit so things feel a little bit distant stereo imaging becomes like you're trying to hear something from speakers right in front of you instead of hearing something really close in your headset things become a little bit more boomy so the bass is a bit extended and it extends into the midrange so it's not too pleasant but for you know for gaming it doesn't fully destroy the layering so the positional awareness that you normally get with stereo is not totally compromised in Dolby surround sound and I normally don't recommend surround sound but here it's actually not too bad but I still would recommend going with stereo if you want to get full positional accuracy because again with Dolby surround sound that position accuracy is colored and there is some unpleasant bass happening as it extends into the midrange. So I'm happy that Corsair has developed a good wireless pair that looks good it's comfortable and performs very well at range and audio signature is actually pretty decent but I think they've really kind of failed in the RGB department not in the implementation but in how it affects battery life if you have a gaming headset that can only last for like six hours with the RGB enabled that's really not a point in having a wireless pair at all and you know disabling RGB definitely gives us more time but I feel like if they've put a slightly larger battery in there so that you can game at longer hours and not having to recharge this thing every like day and half then it would have been a lot more appealing for the wireless consumer. I also wish that these USB transmitters were labeled so for example if you have two voids and one pro and one the original you'd be able to see exactly what USB transmitter is related to what because they are not unifying you cannot use them across your devices you have to use them with a particular device they come with which is a little bit unfortunate you know I wish they took the large tech approach and having one USB transmitter that unifies all of their peripherals. Also the microphone here is actually pretty bad I wish that they have done some more work in here so that the microphone was more clear but again at $99 price point you cannot compare that to other $99 wired headsets because you know the convenience of having no wire here is that selling point so they're compromising other features like the microphone in here so that you could have no wire so you kind of have to look at it from both sides and see what you prioritize more having a wire and better microphone or having a wireless integration that is more convenient but having worse audio and having a worse microphone

Something for gaming and music preferably around 250 USD

 I also find myself getting a slight headache from using them for a few hours, I think the makers are aware of that since it says something on the package like, "not meant for extended periods of use, make sure to take breaks."  I don't think the sound quality is much more than the $40 corsair headphones I bought before to justify the $140 price on these. I haven't even noticed any noise canceling as my loud roommates are still very much audible with these on.  I can't really recommend these, which is sad since they were recommended to me

Annoying

 It took some time for me to get used to that feeling on my ear, but overall since the headset itself is really lightweight, there wasn't much of a problem. We also have that same soft mesh texture on the top of the headband so it's not going to be, you know, having any pressure points on the top of your head. And one thing I'm always a fan of is when the ear cups rotate around 90 degrees so you can have it laying flat on your neck. It's just my personal preference of mine, I like when headsets include this, so happily this one does

 And in the end, that's what it, you know, the only thing that really should matter. I just wish it sounds a little bit better given the iteration of this headset and how much time they've had to improve it over the years. So that's just my final thought on that. But bringing this all together here just to wrap up a good solid pros and cons and for you guys, the price point at 129

 Real quick with that volume rocker, if you press it in for a few seconds that will enable the Dolby Surround Sound which I'll talk about in a few minutes, and if you just quickly press it in it'll go through some of the EQ presets. And also in the left ear cup is the microphone here, they've actually made some upgrades to this which I'm happy to announce. The first being that the microphone itself is rubber and it actually bends where you want it to be, which is a nice upgrade over the regular Corsair Void which was very, very stiff and when I would want to move it, it would just slot me in the lips a few times. That wasn't too pleasant

 The price overall is still very friendly. It is lightweight, but then going into the cons, you know, I still wish we could use this wired if the battery dies or something like that. I don't understand why that's not integrated onto this USB hub. So I just plug it in and then, you know, the mic quality, I still wish it was a little bit better

 I tweaked the bass for a good hour listening to different music and movie scenes, and it just isn't there.  One other thing, volume on these is loud. They carry a lot of volume on my PC at 30-50% volume. If you really want to jam you can kick them up to 60-70%, but I've be afraid I'd hurt my ears going much higher than that, especially if using the surround sound feature

 The bass, when turned up in the equalizer, will muffle other sounds, making the sound overall become unclear. You're better off either not using the equalizer at all (flat) or using the "Pure Direct" which is basically a flat equalizer preset built into the software. I tweaked the bass for a good hour listening to different music and movie scenes, and it just isn't there.  One other thing, volume on these is loud

  The mic is great, works well, and the feature where you put the mic up and it mutes itself is really awesome.  Sound quality for games is good. These are primarily a gaming headset, so if you're getting them just for that, you'll be okay. Just keep in mind if you wanna hear deep bass explosions in games or movies, you're not going to find that here

  And P.S. - The RGBs drain this battery and I have had them turned off since my second week owning it. They look cool when they're hanging up if you leave it on, but it's not like you notice them when you're wearing the headset and in turn it just cuts your battery lifespan in half if not more

iCue is a terrible app, and the sidetone sucks

I used to be a loyal Logitech consumer, but they royally ticked me off with a recent firmware update nuking the mic on my G933 and after wasting several hours of cuss worthy no use canned solutions from their “customer support” and plenty of google searches with the same complaints as mine, I went shopping. I wanted to stay under $100 as my needs were primarily for gaming, Skype and Discord with an effective range of at least 25' able to penetrate at least 1 if not 2 walls. The Corsair VOID Pro delivered on all accounts without missing a beat, and at half the price of my last one. There are however, a few design elements that cost it a star which I'm sure contribute to the lower cost vs pricier competitors

  The volume control is a rocker switch that -/+ the volume based on how long you engage the switch, rather than a dial. I prefer dials for finer control but over time I've gotten better at bumping the silly thing to where I want it. A feature that I do like however (once you enable it via the software) is the attractive female voice that says “Mic On/Off” when you raise/lower the boom, letting you know exactly when your mic is on for those “delicate” moments.  All in all, I’m happy with this purchase

 For a wireless you get a solid value for your $$, I will repeat that its good, if not great, but if you want great you’re going to have to step up to the $300 range. In conclusion, I tried to touch on all the things I was asking when looking for a replacement of my G933, so if my review helped you feel informed about buying this, I’d appreciate a like but if not, post a comment suggesting what I could’ve included so I can continue to improve my reviews for future buys.

 While I'm bitter about how Logitech nuked my G933 with their firmware update, I have to concede that its mic's physical design and placement allowing one to tuck it into the earpiece is a superior design with less risk of damaging the mic when not in use. The sound is quite good though, testing it with several partners yielded clean sound and clarity and it comes with a foam cover to soften speech from stray puffs of air as you speak.  Sound-The 7.1 surround sound is good, but not great
