 I apply one pump using just my fingers. I did not find it to be drying at all which was one of my concerns considering how dry my face felt.

23F, mild to moderate acne since age 12. Skin has gotten drier and more sensitive as I've gotten older but the acne has persisted! I have been really happy with the rest of my routine and have been using the rest of the products for multiple years. My acne seems to be hormonal and using this routine has usually kept it to a manageable stable level.

   * I put a thin layer over any problem areas at night. In the morning, I use it sparingly as a spot treatment if I'm not spending time outside. Putting a layer of this on under my mask also reduces the amount of maskne I get.

this next week, i'll be working in the ROHTO Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil. i usually use Heimish All Clean Balm, but i wanted to try something a little different that had some decent reviews. i kind of like the cleansing oil better, it's easier to transport when traveling and a little goes a long way.

i hope that with the eventual introduction of BHA and Niacinamide, i'll get some of these spots smoothed out.

the most common recommendation was basically to start from scratch: scrap everything except the Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Face Foam PM cleanser. because i had been diligent in the past about testing my skin's reaction to moisturizers, i also kept the Cosrx Snail 92 Cream and Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (my skin drinks up snail mucin and loves it). i also refused to give up the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.

i've been doing that for 2 weeks straight, and what you're seeing in this post is the result. my skin feels much softer and smoother every time I use the AHA, which makes sense, and i havent had any breakouts except when i shave too close and a hair becomes slightly ingrown.

Still at the purging stage I use this twice a week I have painful pimples around chin and side of the mouth area lower cheek, (areas where I common have acne)I just hope it’s over soon, I literally sit on YouTube just to watch videos in skincare and bha exfoliate and cell turnover so I’m trusting the process

 Usually, I’ll use a pea-sized amount in the mornings, but I’ll use a little more for my nighttime cleanse.  Overall, the experience of using this cleanser is exactly what I want from a gentle, moisturizing cleanser.

**Texture and Application:** The cleanser comes out of the tube like a greenish cream that turns into a very smooth foamy lather when I rub it into my hands with a little bit of water. It also spreads really nicely on my face and feels wonderfully creamy and smooth. Usually, I’ll use a pea-sized amount in the mornings, but I’ll use a little more for my nighttime cleanse.  Overall, the experience of using this cleanser is exactly what I want from a gentle, moisturizing cleanser

  It feels really smooth and creamy when applying it to the skin and has a light herbal/medicinal scent. This cleanser is effective at making my skin feel clean but hydrated, and has never irritated my sensitive skin. 10/10 WRP and highly recommend!!

 Some ingredients to highlight are: Glycerin, Betaine, Mugwort Extract, Green Tea Extract, Madecassoside and Panthenol. It’s a fairly minimal ingredients list with no skin irritants or allergens, and it’s also fungal acne safe (according to the ingredient checker I used).

  BHA's help unglue the dead skin cells that cause traffic jams (breakouts, congestion) on your pores, so if your skin responds well to this, you can expect clearer skin, or at the very least, an expedite of the breakout process. Lke anything else, it's no "magic bullet" and has to be used regularly/in conjunction with the best regimen for your skin type. Your skin may prefer AHA's (such as glycolic or lactic acid) instead, or may hate these acids all together.  This product gets a strong variety of responses from people - many people consider it their HG, while others find it does nothing, and some find it may sting their face, especially if they are using other types of active ingredients

 I prefer the Cosrx BHA for the consistancy and packaging, but will ultimately return back to Paula's Choice because of the higher BHA %**  Though the term "Blackhead" is in the name, you can definitely use this formulation all over your face. It is not as drying as other, more intense BHA products. It can help the reduction of blackheads and help heal skin recovering from a breakout, but it likely won't eliminate blackheads completely. For more adequate blackhead treatment, I've found my skin responds to a weekly at-home Lactic Acid peel much better

 You can apply this with your hands or a cotton pad. I purchased this 6 months ago, and about 1/3 of the bottle is left.  For beginners, I would recommend patch testing an area, such as the inside of your arm, to make sure your skin can handle the active ingredients. If you pass the "patch test", start out once a day to once every other day, to gauge how your skin responds

 I find this formulation extremely gentle. It will not replace a spot treatment if you have a big honkin' zit, but it can be used in conjunction with a spot treatment without causing additional irritation in most skin. Decent BHA Liquid - originally tried as Paula's Choice Dupe

I use Cosrx Bha Blackhead Power Liquid every morning along with the 50 snails method once every few weeks or really, just a good mask for exfoliating. It's 100% made a huge change in my skin texture especially in this same area.
