I think there are like 5 speed settings 1 is fast and 2 through 5 is hella-fast. I was trying not to spend $50 on a mixer and ended up with this one. I guess you get what you pay for. Luckily, I have mixer bowels that don't move around

I used this little guy to make cheesecake the other day, and it mixed up the cream cheese with relative ease. The form factor is perhaps a little smaller than you might expect, but it still has plenty of oomph to get the job done. In fact, I'd say it has maybe a little too much power - the lowest setting is still very aggressive, so take care not to over mix whatever it is you're making. Overall, a very good mixer for the money
