The mixer is a nice size, and easy to operate. I have used it multiple times and like how handles but am unsure of the durability of the beaters and the storage case is difficult to get on and off. I feel it will break easily with abundant use. It looks efficient and functional but I have a hard time getting it on and off

I managed to pull the mixer out of the mix as soon as I 'heard' the surge. I had to look again at the setting to ensure it was on 1, and then I wondered if I got a defective mixer for all the power on the first setting. Since I had already given my Kitchenaid Architect 9 speed mixer to one of my best friends after her mixer died, I didn't have a back up other than the big Kitchenaid Professional stand mixer, which was too big for this small job. So I decided to tough it out with the new Cuisinart

 I would personally prefer a slow start feature like the Kitchenaid Architect has, but this Cuisinart is more powerful and will more likely survive dough mixing better...though the big stand mixer is preferable for dough mixing

Powerful

 First, the power cord is very stiff making it a little bit of a pain to store and maneuver. Second, the "Low" power setting I find to be too powerful. I wish the power settings were a little more refined. The switch is very sensitive as well giving it a "cheaply made" feel

 I can't see using the upper ranges very often so the slowest speed could be much slower.
