I expect the appliances to serve me, not the other way around. This piece is too high mainenance, both to use and to clean. Moreover, according to my over 40 years experience of using food processors, including Cuisinart for over 15 years by now, it's plastic cover is due to break quite soon, in addition to being the most overdesigned piece of equipment to serve a simple purpose. In addition, the redesigned grater/slicer disks holder is beyond high maintenance

 If you attempt to put liquids and foods above the limit I mentioned, be prepared to clean-up. Putting downward preassure on the top does nothing to stop the leakage. Top and bottom components do not fit tightly, there is not an effective seal. Enough liquid came flying out at my early attempts that I went online to see if I was missing a gasket for my unit

 Should have examined one carefully in a mall, a "cocophonic" melee that I tend to avoid whenever possible, thus Amazon.  Before you gamble $100 on this item, I suggest you shop around.

About the only positives for this model are the capacity, which is why I purchased it (my smaller Cuisinart, which a like very much, often required dividing my ingredients into two, small batches) and the dual cover, the simple one avoiding always having to use the more complicated, multi-component top that includes a multi-component chute with two parts permanently locked, which could make cleaning a long "soak-and-hope" process. Though perhaps useful, this product is replete with intricate, interlocking plastic parts ; it seems only a matter of time until something breaks even with careful handling. Furthermore, some latches, locks, and links are anything but intuitive.  SCAM Included with the product is a printed invitation to go to  "to watch a step-by step instructional video that shows you how easy it is to use the product

 It is very difficult to wash these two parts thoroughly; the only thing I have found that works when oily foods have been "processed" is to soak it soapy water for a while, and then try to clean it before putting it the dishwasher. Frequently small pieces of food remain stuck in hard to get to places and the dishwasher does not necessarily remove them.  I don't understand why this was designed this way -- it is very inconvenient and getting these parts of the food processor clean is extremely difficult. If the parts could be separated as in other models, it would be easy
