 of. Most brands choose to use the lower end nylon composite, but we choose to use the top of the line material that's 28 stronger. We do that because durability is just part of our dna. Obviously, this nylon composite material is used on pretty much every entry level pedal out there, primarily to keep them more affordable, but there's actually some benefits to nylon composite that are worth mentioning

I'm your host Silas Hesterberg and today we're going to be taking an in-depth look at the Death Trap I pedal of just want to cut to the chase and get into all the juicy details on this pedal because I'm guessing that's what you came for right now. There's so many different pedals out there, some with great designs, others with maybe not so great designs, but I just want to focus on what makes the Def Trap unique. So with that said, let's talk pedal body design for a minute

 First, nylon composite material is actually lighter than aluminum, so your pedals are going to be a little bit lighter. They also tend to glide over things and not get hung up on rocks and roots on the trail like aluminum pedals do. They don't show wear like aluminum pedals, and if you ride in colder temperatures, your feet are actually going to stay warmer because your pedals aren't going to be transmitting that cold temperature right to the base of your foot like aluminum does. And best of all, like I said, you're going to save some money by getting a nylon composite pedal

 There's so many different pedals out there, some with great designs, others with maybe not so great designs, but I just want to focus on what makes the Def Trap unique. So with that said, let's talk pedal body design for a minute. And if you're not familiar with that terminology, the body of the pedal is the main surface that your foot sits on when you're pedaling, and the size and the shape of the pedal body really determine how your foot connects with your pedal and influence a few key things. First, the pedal body shape in unison with the pins in the pedal completely dictate the grip you have on your bike and also then influence the control you have while you're riding

They’re all just a platform with some pins, and a couple bearings. Any guidance here is appreciated as I’m looking to buy new ones soon. Thanks!

Is there any discernible difference between a $50 flat pedal and a $300 one?

I’m wondering what are the best pedals you can get for around 50-60? My new used bike had Hero bike pedals which I love but I looked them up and they cost 125. It just seems a lot to spend on pedals. Or are they worth it?</p>
