Unfortunately, it has lower than average contrast and our unit had poor black uniformity. So it’s, not a great pick for watching movies in the dark.

On the S2722DGM I can use the 'Extreme' overdrive setting and still use the monitor at 60Hz for work without noticing the artifacts so that they distract me. Overall I think the best setting for both of these monitors is 'Super Fast', while some may prefer 'Extreme' on the smaller monitor for less black smearing but considerably more inverse ghosting.

No intention to do co-op gaming so viewing angles wouldn't be a problem. Given my use case and the background I've gathered from this sub, I was intending to look for a 27" 1440p VA panel monitor and identified the **Dell S2722DGM** as a possible option.

My experience with the S2722DGM was very similar to the S2721DGF, which I consider a great thing. In the UFO test I the VA panel is slower then the IPS and even on the extreme preset there was some ghosting. Compared to the S2721DGF with the superfast preset, it had virtually no ghosting to me. This however did not hinder my gameplay experience when playing fast-paced FPS like COD or Apex Legends.
