For a 40” 5K2K monitor the price is *really* hard to justify but they can’t be beat in terms of sheer height and width, pixel count and overall utility if you can afford it but they are generally limited to around 60Hz so will not suit most gamers unless you already like 4K60Hz. The Dell and LG options I mentioned are extremely choice good here. There are many other options available depending on price, local stock and size, and feature preferences (e.g. USB-C) but that is a high level look at some of the “better” brands on the market.

This is one of the biggest culprits as to why the factory settings have colors and text surrounding look cloudy, especially the greys. Setting this to zero will give you deeper, richer greys and clarity, especially for text. Next I would adjust the brightness to the lowest that you can still see clearly and is pleasing to the eye. The default 100 is terrible.
