I’ve got the PMA-800NE + the DNP-800 streamer + Rega planar 3 turntable and speakers are Q acoustics 3030i.
The Denon is an excellent amp and the streamer adds smart functionality, and basically makes the remote control redundant. The only disadvantage is that it’s a huge unit, there are streamers 1/3 the size. Recently the HEOS app got a visual upgrade and is looking more modern and closer to Sonos, means they’re actively working on improving it. If you have the space for the streamer go for it!

Great, Best wishes! Me too using Denon PMA-600NE since June 2021. Pioneer PLX-500 + SONY CD Player (USB Player /AM/FM Tuner combo) + Polk Speakers T15 are the current setup. For my room also appx 14x14 feet with seating 8' away from speakers.  T15 is at appx 30 degree angle to each other, 6' apart. I am almsot there! As you can guess the Bass is lower, need to adjust. Most of my songs collections are 20 yo 60years old, and going great ever since! My prefered volume level is 20 - 30% max. This amp makes me listen to stereo music, for sure!

New amp day - Denon PMA-600NE

 I don't know if there is something defective with mine, but I cannot get anyone to tell me why I don't have an bluetooth transmitter option in the setup menu that the manual says I should have and was the sole reason for this purchase. I already had a receiver that I had to buy an external bluetooth transmitter for. I am still having to use it on this new one and I shouldn't have to. Online customer service is friendly, but no one has told me the answer to my problem and I even sent them a picture of my TV screen showing the lack of a bluetooth transmitter option

My New Budget 3.1 Setup!

 The sound listening to music is on par with other low end receivers. I probably am spoiled by the Marantz.

So I'm looking for an AVR for a basic vinyl setup and had a few quick questions:

1. I assume the turntable requires the AVR to have a phono input, making the Denon AVR-S650H the best option I could find, but $400 is a bit more than I was hoping for. Outside of looking for a used one, are there any cheaper options?
2. I do plan on expanding this into a home theater setup, but it won't be for at least a few years. For the time being, am I better off just going for a $150 stereo receiver instead?
3. Is there anything else major that I'm missing for my setup? Currently have KEF Q150's and a U-Turn Orbit, planning on buying a sub later.

Basic advice needed - finding a budget AVR

I bought this receiver to replace a 20 year old Sony. Three days after delivery, the jury is still out. It arrived without a full owners manual, just a quick start guide. I expected to be impressed by Denon's advancements in sound technology, so I ran the setup (including the Audyssey setup) and just let Denon do its thing,

 When setup was complete, I was presented with a group of canned tone settings, none of which sounded any better than a cheap blue tooth speaker that had been placed in the culvert under my driveway. My next order of business was to disable all of the crapware and gimmicks, and see if I could find an equalizer and manual tone settings buried somewhere in Denon's maze of useless options. I found the full owner's manual on line, and there are manual EQ and tone settings, but they are not easy to access. It's almost like accessing them is the last thing Denon wants you to do

 Half a day spent disabling their crapware and gimmicks, and then trying to figure out how to adjust the equalizer, bass and treble! No, the equalizer is not user friendly. Of course nothing can be as simple as a knob on the front of the receiver, or a tone button on the remote to access these settings. Nope. Denon has really outdone themselves on this puppy! Be prepared for some mind boggling stupidity if you want to achieve decent sound quality with this receiver; "You can't do this if that is enabled" and "you can't do that if this is enabled" and "you cant access the EQ in this mode, or that mode
