Settings > Display & Sound > Audio output > Dolby Digital Plus output (Dolby Digital Plus). Settings > Display & Sound > Audio output > Pass through mode (Off). If you don't get audio from your streaming services then it likely means your Denon doesn't support Dolby Digital Plus over ARC and you'll need to change the following setting to Dolby Digital. Settings > Display & Sound > Audio output > Dolby Digital Plus output (Dolby Digital).

The Denon AVR-X1700 was relatively easy to set up. The Audyssey set up was nice, but depending on the speakers used, you would have to manually change the center speaker to small to match satellite speakers and then manually adjust your cross over points. Not an expert, but I got the Denon AVR X1700H and a pair of Elac B6.2s and really love it.

For surrounds I got a pair of Monitor Audio Mass 2G.

So far I am extremely impressed with the sound quality of this unit...it is far better than my previous receiver. The only issues I am having so far is that the Air Play does not work well with Apple Music which is really a problem with Apple using DRM on their music library which allows me to liste...

I no longer have to black out the room or choose between being able to see the room or see the video I am watching. The projector lights up the room. Turning a few lights on in the room with a video playing isn't an issue at all.

The receiver sounds great and easy to use. Very happy for 19 months. Then there was a large POP sound and continues to POP and turn off about every 20 minutes now. So far, I have not been able to return or fix issue because I am past the return date with Amazon. Something to think about!!
