Starting to get the hang of this whole "Bullpup" thing...

 The overall performance, the overall accuracy is there. It's not as accurate as I would like it to be, however in realistic terms that group was fired at a hundred yards. So anywhere I had aimed for self-fence purposes and that's a stretch for most of us thinking about how could we even articulate or find ourselves in danger to shoot at a hundred yards, I'm still hitting right there in that, like they quoted, 1 to 1.5 MOA accuracy

 It's not what I want. If I have all the time in the world I want all my bullets to go through the same hole but that's not necessarily realistic. I shot that group, I imagine, and just seen shooting throughout the 2000 reviews, just the overall accuracy. It does open up a little bit when it gets hot but every gun does

So I I’m looking for a semi auto .308, I understand these are mostly battle rifles, but accuracy is intriguing, and so is it being a little unique, i dont want a scar or an ar10, I’m kinda leaning towards a springfield m1a loaded. it’s gonna be my new hog gun/ driveway defense gun. (I’ve got a long driveway in the middle of nowhere). What .308 would you buy if you had a $2500 budget?

Got a new job and considering a self-congratulations purchase. I've been mildly fixated on a bullpup, despite being the title-stated lefty.

**Main uses:** wourange fun, shooting out to 100 yards and ideally my main HD go to, as saving the 4"+ compared to my AR pistol in the tight hallways in my urban condo could be a boon. I am also toying with the idea of getting a suppressor, which is like the 5th thing I initially told myself I wouldn't do since picking up the hobby in 2020.

Candidates and perception based on info I've gathered:

**Kel-Tec RDB**


Pros: Price, best stock trigger. No Lefty Conversion Required, Adjustable gas block. No gas in face when suppressed

Cons: Cheaper Build feel, Kel-Tec QC, Perception

This post could have really been title "talk me out of the RDB." We're talking around $800 less minimum compared to the other options once lefty conversion would happen there. Reports on most gen 3 are actuall decent for reliability, but still less pedigree if it was going to be the HD go to. There's a chance it could require some tweaking and tuning by me or Kel-tec to get it running optimally. The rail system can be upgraded for $180.

**IWI Tavor**

Pros: Proven military Track record. Reputation for reliability and durability, some aftermarket

Cons: Not particularly accurate, rough trigger, gas not adjustable, Lefty/right conversion must be done at factory/dealer, has issues with steel ammo.

There are a good bit of cons here. To get a trigger on par with the RDB, we're looking at a $400 upgrade, so added with the $150 premium for the left conversion, we're talking about $1200 more than the RDB. Most of my friend's I shoot with aren't gun owners; it would be a downside to have something most people can't use when friends come with me.

**Steyr AUG A3**

Pros: Most accurate, extensive track record of long proven design, huge aftermarket, can be converted by user, Die Hard LARPing

Cons: Price, Requires a $250 lefty bolt, limited options for suppressor and complications

No brass deflector, and the lefty bolt tacks on even more cost. Suppressing sounds like it can be open a ton of issues. But high build quality

**It's just a phase,son**

Pros: Still more worlds to explore. Keep more cash

Cons: Boring

The answer may be to get none, and instead indulge in something else fun, like optics for my hand guns or who knows?

Which Bullpup For a Lefty?

Great rifles that AREN’T an AR15? Looking for something that’s not an ar. What are good ones that are often over looked? Inb4 why no aR? Have plenty don’t need more, or hate them because they have no character. Pick one.
