 I personally didn't really use this at all and i kind of had it just tighten down and these straps managed underneath these little elastic loops. During my testing phase again, your mileage may vary, but yeah, it's basically more like a stomach belt. I would just i think, remove this all together with this hardware here on the sides, if i was using this for longer, but i like to get an idea of how bags are intended to be used for testing. So i can make these videos for you and this little kind of area down here is nice too

 I can just see my notebook there by just kind of pulling this out, so i'm not super confident on the weather resistance of this with the way it's designed and then we typically like zippers at the top here, especially for travel. So if you have this underneath the seat in front of you or in the cargo space above your seat when you're on the road you know stuff can get jostled around during flight and uh, you know if you have loose items inside of this main compartment. You just may want to consider that i mean this is a big notebook, but you have anything smaller just floating in there like some of the items i was showing you earlier, they get jostled around could be a possibility that those fall out. You know if you're wearing this on your back and just taking it to work and commuting and may not be an issue but for any travel you may run into uh to that issue

 Here you can see that i've got just this stanley go bottle inside of here. Now it's not too large of a bottle, but it really maxes this thing out. So there's no elastic! Nothing like that! That'S going to! Let me no welts back here, no, like stretchy gusseted fabric back here. So it's you know you kind of get what you get when it comes to this exterior water bottle pocket, and you can even see this bag kind of contouring in and curving in

 Straps here are nice and dense. You got this breathable like contact arrow mesh here in the back and nice little gusset here or fabric welt, rather that hides the sternum strap. So i like that sternum strap does well. The elasticated kind of thing here helps out a lot as well with comfort

Deuter UP Sydney Review (2 Weeks of Use)

Stylish "city" backpack but....

I'm starting grad school in the fall and so was on the market for a good backpack for bike commuting and laptop/book hauling. I initially purchased a unisex pack from another retailer that ended up looking ridiculous on my petite frame (too wide and long!), so I decided to give this one a try. It arrived today and at first glance I'm very pleased. The fabric is soft but sturdy in an attractive color, and it's a perfect size—roomy without being too wide or too bulky

Beautiful backpack!

  Second, I love all the pockets and details, especially the internal water bottle holder.  I am also very happy with the padded laptop sleeve.  It is actually padded too, not just an extra sleeve that makes you worried that your laptop will instantly shatter if you drop it.  Third, the design is so sleek and modern

Excellent day-to-day pack!

I commute around town by bike, and I absolutely love this pack for carrying my laptop and belongings, or my bike lock, a jacket and lunch, or just grabbing it for a quick trip to the grocery store. And, the fact that it's made of recycled plastic bottles means I get to tell everyone "My backpack is made from plastic bottles!!!" which is pretty fun in and of itself.
