Seems great - but tire won't hold air

Bike is easy to assemble - instructions aren't very useful - sold without a stand?

A bike they can grow with, the Line 24 is a junior version of our do-anything hardtail mountain bike. Equipped to handle the abuse of real mountain bike trails and daily use around the neighborhood, it's made from the same aluminum alloy as our full-size bikes, so it's practically indestructible. An SR Suntour fork performs like the big people’s bikes, giving your ripper-to-be 80mm of front suspension travel. The 24-inch wheels are stiff and stable, shod with aggressive 2.35-inch wide Kenda tires: perfect for tearing up the woods. Disc brakes and a wide-range SRAM 1×8 drivetrain are real performance features, underscoring that the Line 24 is a legit mountain bike—only smaller. This model fits riders 53”-62” tall, aged approximately 8-12 years old.

Sturdy but heavy

 I recall double checking it while assembling the bike but still took the blame and tightened it as hard as I could with my multi tool that I always have with me. A few days later, after a somewhat harder climb I noticed the same thing. This time, after getting back home I tightened it with a full size wrench as hard as I could without destroying the thread. So far so good but again, if you don't have bicycle wrenching experience, well it's your kids steering

But, please don't tell that to my daughter, she is very happy (and safe after minor adjustments) and that is all that counts.

Worth the Price But Not an Amazing Deal

 Also her foot and front pedal continually hit the front tire as she’s riding it, which has caused her to fall a few times. We’re bummed, the boys bike has received rave reviews and she preferred this color she was so excited to hit the trails today and now we are trying to figure out if a bike store can fix this issue or if we’re able to return a large assembled item.

 Thankfully it wasn't a mountain bike track, because the damage might have been dangerous. This time the piece that holds the brakes snapped and she was without brakes, again - thankfully we were on a flat trail and she was able to stop. We ended up walking it back/carrying it back to the car, it was only a 1.5 mile trek back at that point but had we been further out it would have been tough

 This last year my daughter has only been able to ride this bike five times, it's always being fixed. Each time she rides it something breaks, it's not even on a mountain bike trail, she's just riding it around the yard or a flat trail. Thankfully it wasn't a mountain bike track, because the damage might have been dangerous. This time the piece that holds the brakes snapped and she was without brakes, again - thankfully we were on a flat trail and she was able to stop

***Update*** We must have picked the short end of the stick when It comes to this bike. I'm really disappointed because its a nice looking bike and she is now discouraged from riding it because she's afraid of getting injured. This last year my daughter has only been able to ride this bike five times, it's always being fixed. Each time she rides it something breaks, it's not even on a mountain bike trail, she's just riding it around the yard or a flat trail

The bike handle bars do not stay in place no matter how hard we have tighten it, It slips out of place as she’s riding it. It lends for a dangerous situation when we are out riding. Also her foot and front pedal continually hit the front tire as she’s riding it, which has caused her to fall a few times. We’re bummed, the boys bike has received rave reviews and she preferred this color she was so excited to hit the trails today and now we are trying to figure out if a bike store can fix this issue or if we’re able to return a large assembled item

 She’s thirteen and quickly figured out how to shift, experimenting with different gears and challenging the hills around our yard. The only issue she’s had is that she’s thrown the chain twice. I haven’t adjusted the derailers, they were pretty close right out of the box, but may tune them a bit. That said, it may have been her learning curve too on how to shift and pedal

 There’s a card in the box to note this but it is very possible to assemble the bike with the fork backwards and that won’t work too well. Use a bit of care when turning the fork around and unwinding the cables attached to the handlebars too. Another thing to note is the front wheel nut may hide in the packing nut cover. Don’t unscrew it as I did

 The bike frame is well constructed but it is a bit heavy. Still, she handles it pretty well. She loves the color and the finish was good with no scratches or defects. Two things to note in unpacking and assembly; the bike is packed well, but they turn the fork backwards to package it
