The DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay has double the features with the cool new double-wide chassis.  That's the DoD Rubberneck Analog Delay, and not only does it have all those great features, it also looks really cool, kind of looks a bit retro as well, I love the design. I'd love one of these on my board, it's great, there's so many options you have with it, and I'm sure there's different sort of schools of guitarists that will get different things out of this pedal, you see, I'm, personally for me, I'd probably use this as an ambient sort of thing, but then you can go into the sort of more oscillating effects and you can really start to, you know, get some more shoegazy vibes out of this. So yeah, that's the DoD Rubberneck Analog Delay, go check it out.

 And this is where the pedal gets particularly cool. You have this effect on and off switch, and then you have a tap tempo as well. But also you can affect the sounds here. I pressed it down and it sort of slowed down like a tape getting slower. You can control the rate of that rubberneck by this trim pot here next to the actual foot switch

DOD Rubberneck Analog Delay | Review

Amazing sound, but theres major flaws in the construction and fuction of the pedal I recieved. First of all the tap tempo indicator light doesn't stay at a consistent rate, I though I was going crazy untill I matched the tap tempo with a metronome and watched the tap tempo change rate over time. The combined knobs are such a tight fit together that the inner knob spins when you try to adjust the outer control knob. It wouldn't work with my voodoo lab power supply with the 250ma switch on which should work since it only requires 150ma, yet it worked on a high current output at 400ma

 You could use this three-button foot switch for extra control on stage, such as the ability to instantly rubberize your signal, bypass the modulation, or spiral your feedback out of control with the simple hold of a button. These advanced features on top of one and a half seconds of tap tempo analog delay make the Rubberneck an instant classic. I first showed you a flanger in the Rubberneck's FX loop, and this is a great way of separating itself from the guitar's dry signal. Let's try a pitch effect in the loop, and see how every repeat gets higher and higher

 - temporary repeats setting: if you keep the TAP footswitch pressed, you can temporarily apply an alternate setting for the feedback, which you set with the trimpot next to the footswitch. This can be used to make the delay self-oscillate, for instance, but it's really up to you. - quarter, dotted eight and eight note settings via a 3-way mini switch. - modulation, with independent rate/width controls

5 using tap tempo or even more when rubbernecking, but please note that sound quality and noise deteriorate accordingly. This is a limit of the BBD technology, not of the product. The Rubberneck is still reasonably quiet for an analog delay, with no audible high-pitch artifacts when used at normal settings.  Minor issues:  - it can't operate on batteries, you need to have the usual 9V, negative center power supply (not included)

  Final verdict: definitely worth the money, very usable in an array of styles and situations. Great sound, if you like old school analog delays.

 The other concentric knob contains a tone control that lets you lighten or darken the repeats, as well as a gain just for the delay line that lets you juice the Rubberneck's preamp for some gently broken-up repeats or fully saturated tape machine overload. For those looking to depart from typical delay lines, the Rubberneck's namesake function stretches and contracts the repeat's pitch and delay speed at a rate determined by a dedicated knob. And as you're Rubbernecking or at any point in time during your playing, you could hold the tempo switch and access a whole new level of regeneration, from one repeat all the way to self-oscillation. Here's a classic analog delay with some slow chorus-like modulation, and I've dialed in just a bit of gain to give it a strong repeat

 And here's a darker, dirtier delay tone by increasing the gain and backing off the delay tone. I've also set the rubber neck rate to a faster speed so it's more of a glitchy octave effect. What else should we do to get some of that Well, that's a taste of the Rubberneck Analog Delay from DOD. Stay tuned as I explore more of this feature-rich pedal

 I love JHS and own a couple of their pedals but the Rubberneck won me over for analog delay. Can’t recommend it enough!

 I came across the Rubberneck after months of searching for a great analog delay pedal.  I had originally had my eye on a JHS Panther Cub v1.5, and eventually was waiting on the v2 being released in 2018. The Rubberneck can get every sound of the Panther Cub and more (I A/Bed them)

I plugged this in for a gig after owning it less than 2 months. Something was wrong - the delay taps, when regenerated, had a bassy distortion (not a nice sound). Open researching, it seems this is not at all uncommon. Unless the seller cares to help me out (past Amazon return window), this was no different than burning $260 in cash

Crapped out after 6 weeks

Sounds very good and lots of flexibility. I haven't figured out how to make the Rubberneck feature useful in any musical context, but everything else is great. Forcing it into repeated oscillation is a lot of fun to do live.

The warmth of a bucket brigade style delay but with modern features like Tap Tempo. Nothing like this pedal anywhere else but DigiTech. Best addition to my pedalboard in a long time.
