On sound, technical perormance is very good, detailed treble mids and bass, but on Frequency response the bass was so quiet relative to high mids and treble that I knew I couldnt use these to properly mix music like edm.  I played music through these headphones for well over 200hrs and noticed subtle changes in FR not newrly enough to make them a mixing can for me.  My head is XL, these headphones would slowly clamp harder and harder over time until they they caused a headache after a couple of hours of listening for me, your mileage may vary.  My various amps and dacs seemed to handle these with ease, however my laptop and cellphone were underpowered when these were plugged into them making these a definite non portable without dedicate amp

Bass heads beware.

 Maybe these are overkill and a cheaper set would work as almost as good but wow am I so happy I have these. They are extremely comfortable, no pressure on my head, and can wear them for hours on end with no strain at all. From what I hear they are very close in quality and sound that it’s very hard for even professionals who have the much more expensive Ether C headphones to tell them apart. I couldn’t be happier with these

So I actually bough these because I wanted an amazing headset for gaming. Maybe overkill but I use them for movies and music as well. After hooking these into a decent to Dac Amp I got for another $500 let me tell you my experience. I have never in my life heard such crisp clear sound in any game, movie, or music in my life

I want to say these are better than my sundara's so badly. But they are indeed thee best closed backs money can buy (Up until this pricepoint, and there isn't many closed backs that are good regardless)  Bass is on point Separation is superb, better than sundara's Detail is just almost there in terms of reality  Why should you get these- just brings out everything, amazing for mixing/mastering  Why shouldn't you get these - any music you have that has questionable mastering/mixing or bad source will be extremely apparent with these. Vinyl's imperfections are clear as day, any noise will be just audible, and distortion of music will be that more apparent. And you dislike flat response headphones without a lift in bass

 TLDR: Very detailed with a lot of clarity. Will sound cold to most people but it EQ's well. I swapped the stock pads with ZMF universal goatskin perforated. Those pads gave me a better seal without affecting the sound signature much (a tad wider and probably more detailed in the air regions)
