 On the other hand, when I looked at really high-end stuff, I don't see the value in spending $200 on a pair of boots especially when most of the expensive ones are the type of thing that you're going to spend 15 minutes lacing up every day and I'm not out doing a big locker thing so I want something a little more multi-purpose that I can wear and still be physically active in. That's where I discovered these boar moccasins from Duluth Trading. They also have what they call the half boot which is what this is. So basically what you've got here is some elastic, you've got a solid front, no lace, but here's what sets these apart is they have real boot soles, real hiking shoe soles, real ankle support although kind of doing this with a lot of hiking and backpacking might not go so well

 The other thing is very heavy-duty solid it's not a waffle core hollow core type of sole so if you're heavier or you carry heavier loads around the sole of the shoe is going to hold up. To see what they look like about you know let's say a year year and a half into heavy use this is about what I end up with I end up with a wear pattern over here this is I see the other wear pattern and the other one is going to be a little bit more because that's my driving foot but you'll see a wear pattern here which is common to anybody who's got a military type stride that or walk and then you'll see this usually comes from standing still shifting your weight a lot stepping side to side type stuff which I you'll do if you're you're working on things it's kind of like what you'd call a contractor shoe wear pattern is you have a lot of people stepping side to side so you see wear there. The fail point on cheaper shoes is usually for me going to be a wear pattern right here because they'll be hollow but these are solid so we really don't have a wear through here we got a wear through here at the at the actual walking and stepping points a lot like on a higher quality shoe or boot. I have blown through other shoes and boots in the time period that I own these and they're now relegated to you know obviously some painting indoor type work stuff there's not a whole lot of tread left and they're still somewhat usable hence go get a new pair so if you're shopping for convenience shoes and boots this holiday season I I'm getting this Duluth trading stuff because I like it it's strong it's heavy-duty I'm a repeat buyer I'm not receiving anything out of endorsing these but if you're a larger heavier person or you're buying some footwear for a larger heavier person who wants to be physically active and needs footwear that's convenient easy to put on and take off and going to hold up I would recommend these Duluth trading half boots and buy them when they're in season when they're actually being made because they're not available all the time

 Hey YouTube, Johnny Rabbo here. What I'm going to attempt today is to seal some shoes I have. I have multiple pairs of shoes and boots that I'm going to be sealing and what I'm doing is I'm going to be snow sealing them. I'm using this Snow Seal

 Alright. And voila, there you go. You can see it's a little bit shinier than this one, this one's been settling for a while. Let me go ahead and take the blow dryer to it again and you'll see as I do this that this wax will actually just heat up and just melt right into the pores

 I took a light brush to them a little bit, I didn't totally polish them, but I brushed them up and they did come out beautiful. I really love this darker color than the lighter color the Wild Boar Mox came with. Let's do the ultimate test and water test them. I've got the water on, let's take this boot and see how it repels

In this video I am waterproofing a pair of Duluth Wild Boar Oil Leather Mocs using SNO SEAL.  This is a great product for waterproofing and protecting leather boots, shoes, gloves, etc.

Waterproofing Duluth Wild Boar Mocs with SNO SEAL

5 wide as an option on here at the time I checked so was unable to order the correct size for this shoe. However I gave the pair to my brother in law who runs 9-9.5 in size and he says they are fantastic and fit perfect. Also mentioned they are crazy comfortable

 Basically, they didn't have a size 12, which is what I normally wear. So I bought a smaller one because I felt like they fit and I didn't want to wait. What I should have done was order him, so I bought him brought him home warm around the house once and my foot was just too wide and didn't fit in here, where it needed to in order to stretch. So it was putting my toes to sleep

 If you don't like a man, you can't be Duluth as far as you know, their return policy, their exchange policy, but I've been beating the crap. Out of these. I have not babied um the mocks, at least I'm getting ready to start on these and they've held up they've taken the abuse, because I'm a brute and I have a tendency to tear up, and these things are taking it, and I'm I've been really pleased with It china-made, of course, most things are anymore, but man I do like the quality, and hopefully, if you're looking at on this, to give you an idea of you know what they are and what they can do, and a little bit more information than you had coming In I, you know, obviously I bought it. I bought us another version of the mocks and these come in brown and black as well, and there you go hope

 This is waterproof. Now, anytime, I buy anything leather. I spray it with a leather waterproofing, regardless whether it's supposed to have one or not just for extra added protection, but obviously these are a low profile. So in the winter I wanted something with a little bit

Durable

 It did come from the factory kind of dry, and it took a fair amount of leather treatment. It sucked it right in, so if you do buy these, I would treat them with a good leather protectant product such as Lexaul as soon as you get them. The stitching is very good, double stitched all the way around. Overall, the shoe seems very well built

 Even though this merrill is worn out, you can see by comparison of what's left of the sole that the traction pattern wasn't nearly as aggressive on the merrill as it is on this Duluth trading shoe. The fit on this Duluth trading moccasin, at least for me, was dead on. I wear an 11 extra wide, and these moccasins do come in a wide size, and the 11 wide fits me perfectly. I find the comfort on these shoes to be excellent, although I don't really walk long distances at a time in these shoes or wear them for long periods of time

 First, I am not a fan of slip-on shoes. I am just not really built for them. I am a fairly big guy, 6'3", 250 pounds, and I have got a bad ankle. With all that body weight, it is really good for me to have a lot of ankle support
