 And then this is the clip that I mentioned at the bottom. So this little plastic clip as obviously when you're doing the zip. If you leave that clip, it's going to reduce the tension on here. Just unclip it and then you can roll the door up

 Luckily the rumors were true. Dan did design and come up with the solid inner. So now um, now we've got the solid and I've grabbed that um on my scales. and on the website it's exactly 905 grams which is a refreshing change

 I've put a little bit of shot card on there. Um, so it can flex under reel a heavy load. Um, I'll deploy these pretty much all the time. You've got a vent, so if it's raining and you want a bit more ventilation, you can raise it up on the line lock so it sits slightly highly to get a bit of airflow underneath

 If you leave that clip, it's going to reduce the tension on here. Just unclip it and then you can roll the door up. Like I said before, if you peg the door side out, you might have to just pop your elastic off if you're using this door. So we'll get this out of the way now and then roll this door up

This is a friendly reminder to all those seeking to buy gear in the coming months that inflation is a real concern.  

2022cis going to have some more suck.

Prices are increasing more frequently and by larger amounts than I have seen in the 8 years we've had a shop.

I'm busy still putting mandated price hikes into effect that started January 1st on existing skus. (Not normal to take hikes eithout revisions or even seasonal changes in colors).

Many of the items I'm increasing right now have another increase coming when Spring inventory lands (March if we are lucky) and another increase when Fall inventory lands (July or August, again if we are lucky).  So we're looking at 3 bumps in a calendar year.

Many of these same products typically take 1 price bump in 2-3 years.

My advice: 

1.  If you know you want to buy a specific product and can afford it now but would have bought later, consider how you will feel if it costs 10-20% more later.  It may not take a bump, but it very well could.

2.  Price shop a bit.  Many smaller shops lag on getting these price bumps rolled out when they impact existing inventory rather than just new inventory.  Repricing stock takes time.  So you might find someone selling at the prebump price if you look a bit.  Confirm it's current product to be sure but it happens.

3.  Gird yourselves.  I've seen 3 order cancellations this week for Spring preseason orders.  I'm a dealer and I can't get the stuff I ordered last May.  I assure you this pains the manufacturer even more than it does me or my customers.  We'll find alternate products - probably.  But the manufacturer won't find a way to make up the lost sales without fixing all those issues hampering their production.  Be prepared to look harder and consider more options.

PSA: Inflation is here

 I am going to chalk that up to luck. However, it is more durable than the X-Drop. I think overall this is a good tent and will be doing some more field testing soon. Also, moving forward I am going to be more cautious

 You need a ground sheet. I know this because there is a hole in my brand new tent. On the way home I stopped by REI and got some tenuous tape and the issue is resolved for now. Also, I ordered a pre-cut piece of Tyvek that will be here sometime this week

Overall Pleased

 So first of all, this tent is made out of very high quality materials. It's made out of still polyester, which means it's less saggy when it gets wet. It's got high quality zippers. It's got extra guidelines for when it gets windy

 Really nice overhead pockets. It's got good stitching. Everything is seam proof. the grommets are very robust and overall I've had no issues with the materials of this tent

anyone with some experience with single wall tents in a Scandinavian climate? I'd love to hear some experience before i waste all my money on a duplex  


i'll be camping next to lakes/rivers, on grass without trees so i fear condensation will be a huge issue, but is it a complete deal breaker? Do i have to go for a heavier dual wall tent like a hilleberg?

I am going for a multi-day hike soon and I wanted to know what should be my approximate weight. We have 6 mile hikes a day so nothing to heavy but rn I feel like I have too much with 28 lbs. I can hold the weight but I am still unsure. What do you guys think?
