 So the Free Pro 2 is now slightly more expensive compared to when the original Free Pro was released, coming in at USD 80 or about RM320 where the original was about USD 60 or about RM240. So what are you getting that's justifying that USD 20 price hike? So let's find out. And if you're interested in picking up these earbuds, do check out my links in the description below. So design wise, when I first took the earbuds out of the case, I thought they looked kind of basic, losing that glossy charm of the original Free Pro

 And at the front here, you're going to get an LED, so just one tiny LED in front here which lights up when you plug in the Type-C charging port at the back. So the LED here is also very simple to tell, if the LED doesn't blink, so if it lights up white and it doesn't blink, meaning that you have more than 30% battery life, and if it starts to blink three times, it just drops below 30% battery, and if it only blinks one time, means that it has less than 10%. And if there's no LED indication at all, means that it's time to charge up the battery. So maybe I'm old school, but I still think three or four LEDs would be the best way to tell battery life

 So the lid that we have here is also really unique and when you open them, it doesn't feel like there's anything holding it up, very smooth, but when you do open them, they have this very subtle friction that you can see it holds itself in any angle, which is super cool. So overall, you can see that the Earphone Free Pro 2 is very simple, not much of design going on. And for me to get the best ANC seal, I've changed to the largest ear tips here and you can see it's quite large, but I don't normally use large ear tips and it does put some pressure to my right side ear. And do remember that all ear canals, even your left and right, sometimes don't come in the same size, so you do have to experiment to get the best fit

Need new or refurbished earbuds under $50

I bought these cause I got Earfun’s “air pro” earbuds for xmas and loved them but ended up returning them cause they kept slipping out of my left ear at certain times. Since then I’ve tried other earbuds and have discovered that a lot of them actually fit even worse (i have small ears and apparently my left ear is even smaller or maybe just shaped weirder, cause I can’t even fit most earbuds into it at all!).  Anyways, the wings on these earbuds are awesome and make them worth trying if you have small or hard-to-fit ears, or you always have trouble keeping earbuds in your ears. They should fit most ears cause they come with 2 different sizes of wings and a band (if you don’t want wings)

 Possibly, this was part of the problem with the sound, but I dunno. Either way, I found both the ANC modes on these earbuds useless; aside from a slight hiss, they made basically no difference whenever I engaged either of them (i'm really surprised people are praising the ANC in the reviews). The air pros have really good ANC, and since they actually block out sound, you might actually need the “ambient sound” mode on those, whereas you won't ever need it with these.  To be fair, if not for the iPod issues, I would’ve kept these because they get the job done and it’s really hard to find earbuds that stay in my ears—plus I LOVE how discreet they are! I even started liking how they didn’t really block out sound! Sometimes it’s nice being able to hear/talk to people without needing to mess with your earbuds

 They still got screwy if I stood in front of the microwave while it was on, but only if my iPod was all the way upstairs.  As for the sound: I was less impressed with it. It's not that they sounded bad or anything, but there's lots of earbuds that cost less that sound just as good if not better. As for the ANC: I would DEFINITELY recommend Earfun’s “air” pro earbuds over these if you’re buying these for the ANC and/or you want a lot of passive noise cancellation! I couldn’t seem to get much passive noise cancellation with these (maybe better earbud tips would help with this, cause FYI the ear tips they come with SUCK)

Get Earfun's air pros instead of these if you want ANC.

So if you want stronger active noise cancellation along with better call quality, you're gonna wanna go with the EarFun Air Pro. But if you prefer better sound quality, then that's where you're gonna wanna go with the EarFun Free Pro. So that's kinda the difference between those two

 Honestly, indoor environment, semi-quiet as usual. So now here we have the EarFun Free Pro with some simulated crowd noise, similar to a cafe, bus station, something along those lines. Testing, testing, one, two, three. So here we have the EarFun Air Pro with some simulated crowd noise

 Now, as far as comparing the EarFun Free Pro to the EarFun Air Pro, there is a little bit of a discrepancy there. So as far as the EarFun Air Pro, those are gonna have stronger active noise cancellation, like it's noticeably stronger. But the sound quality is not gonna be as good as the EarFun Free Pro. So you kinda have this trade-off, right? So if you want stronger active noise cancellation along with better call quality, you're gonna wanna go with the EarFun Air Pro

Earfun Free Pro Review 🔥 Better than ever!

For commute I think it's better to use TWS earbuds or TWS adapters. Look into the Earfun Free Pro (2) or the models they're based on, FIIL T1/T2 Pro. More so the T1/T2 Pro as those have an app where you basically get more features and customization. Those are small and have a low profile design and so you'll have better passive noise isolation if you don't use the ANC

My tinnitus would considerably worsen when using ANC so I stopped a few years ago. I'm about to start commuting again, and want a pair of headphones just for my train journey and the new office (I have Hifiman Sundaras at home). What's a good solution for noise-cancellation that doesn't involve ANC?

 Its a learning curve and you definitely need trial and error with all of the tips as well as the rubber pieces that hold it in. Despite all that, it still doesn't stay perfectly in Noise Cancelling: only okay. With noise cancelling on its more of "noise reducing" because ambient noise definitely still gets through. microphone: The quality is decent

 Its just a little glued on piece. The ear rubber bits that hold it in your ear always shift and turn on you. Making it fit worse. The case scratches very easily

If you have a minute, could you briefly advise on your opinions of the two and how they compare/differ? Advice on Earfun Free Pro vs Edifier TWS1 pro

 When I go to put them on in the morning, one will connect but not the other. And it's random which one will/will not work. I thought maybe I wasn't paying attention to how I seat them in the cradle after each use, but after 2 weeks of paying close attention they still are exhibiting random work/not work. Time to go look for a replacement

Ok so I have the Earfun Free Pro and it's pretty nice, specially I love how the bass is. Deep and you can even feel the vibration.
