Ebags mother lode

I have traveled around the world for years with my trusty old eBags Mother Lode Travel Backpack (I think it used to be called the "TLS Weekender" when I bought it, but that's how it's listed on their site now). It has survived 10 years of abuse, hundreds of flights, and countless hikes. The bag handles anything I throw at it & has a number of features, but it's a good example of a jack of all trades (and master of none).

I like the eBags mother lode (normal and jr). Is a compact size, I don’t care for the bags arhat are very tall/long. And the price is reasonable (not a big issue for me though) but there isn’t a hip strap and I think it might feel heavy without it. I’m short and pretty small.

I searched for a backpack luggage for a long time and finally landed on the ebags mother lode - then my wife stole mine so I got a second. It's a backpack, has the pockets I need, holds a laptop, folds open, straps fold away if you do need to check, expandable with compression straps, fits in carry-on, light, etc. It's pretty affordable too ($120 and 20% off if you get 2), but high quality.
