 If I just want to create a loop, I've got 10 different places I can create that loop. So if I push down on this mode switch, we get L, we've got different functions here so we can move between L, P and F. Now I'll explain what they do in a second but L basically allows us to select a different loop memory so if we push down on there we can now select between one or zero to nine which is basically 10 so I'm going to select zero. Okay, so one quick thing what you notice there is I press loop once to record and then if I wanted to overdub, as soon as I stopped basically by pressing the loop button again it started to loop that loop as it were

 Now if I wanted to actually stop the loop I just press the loop button twice, okay so once to play, twice to stop, okay. Now you can see the memory LED is on which means that that's now stored permanently in the memory. If I pull the power cable out it's still stored, which is great and I can store up to ten loops like that. Now within that I can now use these effects buttons to do interesting things

If I press the reverse button, start the loop and then press the effects, super super cool. If I press the half speed button you can do both of these at the same time, what I love about that is the sound quality remains amazing, you're not getting any hiss or weird kind of wobbling noises from the half speed, it's essentially, it's dropped the pitch obviously but it sounds super super cool, really really nice

 So just so you can hear it, here's my clean tone, I'm using a Roland Jazz Chorus 90, JC90 and this beautiful Fibonari custom erotic guitar, obviously named for obvious reasons. You can order these from Sound Effects Premier, both of these things here, we just mic'd up with an SM57 running into a focus right interface, very simple setup. My clean tone on my position four sounds like this. Okay, really simple operation to start with

So if you have two instruments you want to plug, if you want to introduce a bass, you just plug the bass in here and then the right out and that'll both go into either if you can plug them both into the same amp or Pa, or or if you want to go into a guitar and to base separately, I'm going to play guitar and then a little bass and then you're going to hear how it can work together

Hi there, I have 0 experience with pedals, so apologies for being completely clueless. I really want to try a looper pedal, since I’ve had some fun playing with GarageBand on my iPad and playing over some repeated patterns. I think an actual looper pedal will be a much more powerful practice tool.

I have no idea about pedals, literally none. I have a guitar, and I have an amp. Both pretty beginner level. The amp is a 10 year old Roland cube 20x. I don’t even know how to plug a pedal in (though I’m guessing that part is relatively self explanatory...right?). Do I buy the cheapest loop pedal I can find and upgrade to something fancy later? They look pretty complicated at the top end. Is there anything I need to know before I buy a pedal? Is there anything else I should buy with it? Thank you all!

Looper pedals: where to start?

 I’ve been gigging on one for almost two years and it still great. Tracking is excellent, and the dedicated stop switch is incredibly handy.

What do you guys suggest? The boss RC-3 looks great but is a bit pricey. Heard the ditto looper breaks after a while.

Also side thought but is the chase bliss warped vinyl pedal worth it if I already have a delay, reverb and chorus pedal?

I'm fairly new to pedals and would quite like a looper pedal. I was thinking about getting the Boss RC1 Loop Station but I just thought I should ask you lot before I go spending money seeing as you probably know a lot more than I do :)

I’d like to surprise my husband with a loop pedal. I don’t want to spend more than $400. He has never asked for a looper but I thought it could be fun. He’s into making spacey ambient music with his pals but also strums bluegrass on his own. Is there one you could suggest for a beginning looper? 

I don’t know if this helps but looking at his gear- He has a Syntax Error pedal, a Cockfight pedal and an Adineko? pedal.  Oh I also just bought him
The Springking pedal.  

A Sweetwater guy suggested one but I don’t know if it’s too advanced or not.

<p>EDITING- Thank you everyone for your replies!!! After all of these suggestions, I called Sweetwater and spoke to my specialist. It turns out he had a Ditto+ on his wishlist. I ended up buying that, will print out the listing and put it in a box with the cords and power combo I also purchased. After the holidays, I’ll see if he wants to get something else because I don’t know if it’s what he really wanted or it was within his price range. He just splurged on my birthday present so I want todo the same for him. :) Thanks again!!!!!</p>

Looper for my husband

I used to have a TC Electronic Ditto, but I ended up selling it off. Never got used to the awkward single-button layout, and the unit is missing a few key features that I want. Here's what I'm looking for: 

* Multiple footswitches which separately control play/overdub and stop functions
* Ability to save loops, preferably with many memory banks
* Can fit on a board; occupies the space of about 2.5 Boss pedals at max
* Drum tracks are not required, but they're a huge plus
* Under $200 *used* if possible

The Digitech JamMan (the original unit with two footswitches) is the frontrunner at this point. It fits all of my requirements, but I'm concerned about the build quality. I've been watching them on Reverb for around half a year now, and it seems like there are quite a few non-functional or damaged units out there... The Boss RC-30 has also caught my eye, but the layout looks confusing and filled with features I don't need. I know it'd be built like a tank, though. 

Any help would be appreciated!
