 Here's the clean tone. The soul food has a clean, transparent overdrive. As you can tell, it just really dirties it up just a little bit so that way it sounds very amp-like. You ever turn up an amp just on a, just say we turn this up, the gain part of it, just a little bit more, and it just dirties it up or breaks up that much and it just sounds wonderful

 I always leave it on true bypass because it has a little bit too much treble added in with the buffer. One of the things too I like about this pedal is that it is pretty responsive to your pick, picking your, if you're using your fingers, if you're using a pick, it is very responsive. So I'll show you the clean tone, see what it sounds like, so differentiate. So here we go

 So it does have a nice bit of sound to it. So let's go ahead and mess with it like it is, but let's go ahead and mess with the treble knob now. Let's go ahead and turn that all the way down and we'll see what that sounds like. Here we go, clean tone

 What I can tell you is that it sounds much better to my ears than my Fulltone OCD at half the cost. The boosted rails for increased headroom is what sold me on it. I love the sound of pedals running on higher voltage and you get it with the Soul Food running on just 9-volts. I have a MXR Distortion III with a 18-volt adapter juicing it

I like it.

 I find that the Soul Food improves the tone of my amps. It can go from to clean boost to a heavy overdrive. Lately I've been using it a lot with my Vox AC4 TV and my Les Paul Studio and it improves the versatility of the guitar and the amp by expanding the range of possible tones. I think you could use the Soul Food for just about every kind of music
