 I do personally have acne prone skin and acne prone skin is a sensitive skin condition, so I would say that all of these sunscreens are definitely going to be good if you have sensitive or acne prone skin. I've never had any issues with these causing me to break out and I just find that these are all really gentle. And if you are somebody who has a hard time finding a sunscreen that doesn't break you out, I definitely do recommend all of these. Um, but I'd say one is more suited towards acne prone skin than the other

 Uv Clear is a combination sunscreen with nine percent Zinc right there and 7.5 percent octanoxy. So zinc is our mineral slash physical component, and then the octanoxy is our organic or chemical component, which makes this a combination sunscreen because it's drawing filters from the two categories. Altmd makes a lot of combination sunscreens besides Uv Clear, and some of them include Uv Shield, which I used for over a year, Uv lotion, Uv sport, Uv facial, and Uv daily

 It's easy to spread, it's not irritating and actually feels soothing to the skin. It doesn't sting around the eyes. White cast is very. It's very workable actually

I like Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46. It's the only sunscreen I've tried that doesn't make me desperate to wash my face an hour later.

I purchased some expensive Augustinian Bader moisturizer on an impulse and I’m annoyed at myself for forgetting my rule that my moisturizer should always include and SPF. I may send it back, but does anyone know of an SPF that would be good to use over an expensive product, preferably one that won’t make my face all shiny?

My goal for the year has been trying to incorporate sunscreen into my daily skin routine to combat redness and hyperpigmentation. In my search for the perfect tinted mineral sunscreen, I decided to try one from EltaMD (photo on left) and one from Colorescience (photo on right). Both photos taken after about 10 hours of wear. Hoping my review will help someone else.

\-$34 for 3 oz (can occasionally find it for 20% off, so $27.20).

\-Pros: Goes on smooth, feels very moisturizing on initial application, purely mineral, cheaper per oz.

\-Cons: Feels oily on skin soon after application, oxidizes quite a bit and ends up looking orange - especially around the mouth if wearing a mask all day, color match for fair complexion is poor even on initial application, doesn’t blend great and tint coverage is not buildable (if trying to hide blemishes).

Overall impression: I was hoping to love it because I’ve heard great things, and it’s a better bang for your buck as far as higher end tinted sunscreens go - but it just didn’t really work with my skin type. It may be better for someone with a tan/medium complexion and drier skin. I probably won’t repurchase this particular EltaMD sunscreen but may try another purely mineral one in the future (eyeing EltaMD UV Elements Broad-Spectrum SPF 44).

Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Flex SPF 50 in Fair

\-$45 for 1.8 oz (can occasionally buy it for 25% off, so $33.75)

\-Pros: Goes on smooth, looks matte on first application, blends really well to achieve a great color match for fair skin (unique flex ability), coverage is buildable - hides blemishes almost like wearing light foundation, purely mineral.

\-Cons: Feels on the drier side with all day wear, oxidizes some but doesn’t give obvious orange look by the end of the day, pretty pricy.

Overall impression: I was hoping to not love it because of the cost and limited/mixed reviews online - but it actually worked really well on my skin. I wish it was a bit more moisturizing, but I tend to prefer a matte over oily/shiny/dewy look, especially if it doesn’t make me look like an Oompa Loompa. I will definitely repurchase (RIP wallet - so only when it’s 25% off) and make this my go to daily tinted mineral sunscreen until I find a cheaper, comparable alternative.

[music] Hi guys, welcome back to my channel! My name is Benedine and for today's video, we're going to be talking about the Elta Md Uv Clear Sunscreen. This sunscreen has been popping up in my comment section for like the last year. I feel like every time I post a video somebody recommends this one. So I finally got around to purchasing it and trying it out for you guys

 This is a combination sunscreen, which means it's kind of both a physical and a chemical sunscreen. So the active ingredients are zinc oxide nine percent, that's where you're getting that physical um, component of it and then also Octanoxate 7.5 and that as you know, is a chemical filter. um, another ingredient that's in here is Niacinamide

 Okay so day one, when I wore the sunscreen, I decided to just follow my normal skincare routine and then apply the sunscreen as my final step. So I did my acne serum and then I used a moisturizer. and then I applied the sunscreen and as you can see from me applying it to half of my face, I was getting a little annoyed at it. Um, because with this sunscreen, the more you try to blend it in, the more it peeled up

 It's actually the third ingredient on the list and it's a pretty high percent. It says that it's five percent high purity niacinamide, which is a vitamin B3, which helps to reduce the appearance of blemishes, discoloration, and photo damaged skin. I know some people do have sensitivities to niacinamide, so keep that in mind for me. I usually don't have an issue with it, but it is kind of an added benefit if your skin responds well to it
