 If you hold it down it will enter pairing mode. And something that I really like about this case is the sort of mechanism here. The hinge it snaps open, snaps closed and that's quite satisfying like that. And of course on the back there's a USB charging port for charging up the case

 I am impressed with the sound quality on these for listening to music too although when listening to music I would like to ramp up the bass just a little bit more but that's just my personal opinion you guys might think differently. PS5 Earbuds | Epos GTW-270 Hybrid Review

 The Bluetooth connection is 5.1 with pairing up to 8 devices which is cool.  The earbuds have a female British voice that speaks to you when carrying out certain functions like power on and Bluetooth pairing. But to be honest, I find it to be a bit loud and annoying

 Not boomy like a lot of other headphones that jack up the bass. It sounds great with both games and music. The little button on the left earcup allows you to control the playback of your devices.  The box came wrapped in tissue paper which is a nice touch (see photo)

 I much prefer a simple ping or some other less obtrusive sound. Since there’s not an app that allows you to control the features and sound of these earbuds, you’re stuck with it.  The earbuds themselves fit great with a good seal. They include 3 additional silicone cups in different sizes, so you’ll need to find one that fits your ears

These premium earbuds do what they intended, namely, eliminate latency when paired with the included dongle but at a high cost. To be honest, I don’t find sound latency to be much of an issue when I can even detect it, but the sound quality is paramount.  First, EPOS sells a cheaper model (non Hybrid) which doesn’t include the USB-C dongle. I definitely don’t recommend those as there are better earbuds in the market at this price point, including active noise cancellation versions

Expensive for what it does

 All right, so here we'll do a quick microphone test on the Epos GPW 270. And one thing I noticed right off the bat is that it seems to have some sort of mic monitoring. So you can hear yourself a little bit better when I am recording on my iPhone 8 through the Memos app. I can hear myself, which is kind of a neat feature

 I'll probably keep referring to this as just the Epos GTW270, but just bear in mind that this is the Hybrid version, not the standard one. So checking out what all comes in the box with the GTW270, we see the charging case, a USB-C to USB-A extender, a standard USB-C to USB-A cable, a wireless adapter and a rubber cover for the adapter, and three different sizes of ear tips. And of course, some literature as well. So first off here, let's take a look at the case, and they aren't breaking the mold with this design, but that being said, it feels very sturdy and very durable

 And just tap in the earbuds, you can kind of hear that it sounds like it's picking up here on the right, whereas not on the left. So once again, we're just testing the microphone on the Epos GTW 270 Hybrid. On the other side of that, when connected via the USB-C wireless adapter to my PC, there was no input option for the microphone from here. So I think that's only an option for Bluetooth and not when you are using the wireless adapter

 If you are a streamer or just a diehard gamer and spend more time than that gaming in one session, then these might run out of battery before you're done. But of course, you can just put it in the charging case, and the charging case I think extends that life to like 20 hours or something like that, which is great, but you do have to set them in the case to charge. It's not like you can plug them in and use them while they are charging. So at $200, this does get into the category of some great wireless headsets as well

.. Unfortunately, the aptX-LL (Low Latency) codec is apparently running on such a razor's edge that it can't pull it off without the occasional crackling, which seems to get worse as time passes on my Windows PC and laptop, even after trying different ports, firmware, and driver updates.  Kudos to EPOS for including their own USB dongle to ensure compatibility, but I'm afraid it just isn't good enough

There's a lot to like about these earbuds. They sound fantastic. They are supremely comfortable. The EPOS Gaming Suite software that goes with it is slick and works great

 It's not terribly persistent, but it's enough to be annoying, and at this price point, I expect far better.  I have a bulky, wireless headset that works perfectly, but it comes with its own, proprietary USB dongle that wisely doesn't use Bluetooth. I wish EPOS had done the same here, but then I guess you'd lose that mobile compatibility that everyone seems so obsessed with. I'm not sure if this is a failure of aptX-LL in general, or just EPOS' implementation of it

Maybe aptX-LL just isn't ready... for anything.

 However, when I wanted to join a few friends for PUBG, I needed to out these away and put on my big over ears. The EPOS team is close to greatness here. If you can live without the microphone and price is no object, these are worth a look. Otherwise, I would keep an eye out for future EPOS models in the hope that they correct the oversights they made here

 However, these really are incomplete in that regard. Here are my thoughts:  First off, you do get phenomenal sound here. These are loud and immersive. EPOS nails sound quality here

 Although these have great sound, don't intend on buying these if you expect to talk to teammates without another microphone option. The issue being is that with the low latency mode with the dongle, you get little to no latency, however, you cannot talk to anyone with this device. If that is no issues for you and you are looking for a discrete, wireless device to listen to your games with okay battery life (3-4 hours), then perfect! If you are looking to talk to other people similtaneously, steer clear. You can talk to people if you use the standard blue tooth connection, however, the latency of the ear buds are no different than regular ear buds like the razer hammerhead wireless earbuds which you can get alternatively cheaper

The connection to a laptop or desktop is just not good, even with the USB C adapter, it is even sometimes intermittent and just a hassle in general - a sacrifice you make for the convenient form factor

 And if you use that dongle, you are limited to EITHER transmission or listening, i.e. you can't use them to both listen and talk. That's a pretty serious limitation for gamers

 Personally, I find 5 hours to be sufficient for things like gym use or gaming, but insufficient for things like airplane flights (where you'd want 6-8 hours) or for something you'd wear all day in a job that requires a lot of phone contact (8+ hours).  On the whole, I like the sound and fit of these, but they are fairly expensive compared to other earbuds offering competitive sound. I'd lot a lot of the decision regarding whether these are the headphones for you will depend on how much you value the low-latency dongle (which only allows on channel--either listening or talking).

 I will admit these are the first advertised towards gaming. However it's a bit steep for not being all that well rounded.  In conclusion I think these headphones are a good start but they definitely need some work to become great. If EPOS worked on the cons mentioned here and fixed them, then these would be worth a look, but for now, I'd pass on these and save yourself the 200 bucks

 -Glitchy connection at times: Sometimes I'd lose sound/connection randomly. Don't know why. It was rare, but has happened. -Battery life: I only got 3-4 hours out of these, which for me is not enough all the time for gaming, and especially when there's no mono listening like I mentioned previously

 For being wireless earbuds, it's great sound on par with most wireless earbuds I've used on my phone. They sound great and have no lag as far as I can tell. -Comfortable: I've been able to comfortably wear these for 3-4 hours with ease. They fit snugly in my ears with a tight seal and they don't itch or hurt
