If you prefer an in-ear model, this thermometer performed well in our 2020 tests and has an easy-to-read backlit display.

 I personally need to order extra end caps to keep on hand. The readings I did notice were a bit off a few times. I would always do two or three readings to make sure it was in the same range especially if the first time it was off a good bit compared to the second reading. The in the ear thermometer tells you up to the last ten readings on the memory

 I like that it also provides you with the battery life left in batteries so you'll know when it's getting low battery and need to swap them out.

It's ok

I wasn't overly impressed with this thermometer. I felt that the temperature reading varied pretty significantly (2-3 degrees) between reads. However, I do like that it is small enough to put in a diaper bag and have as a back up when on the go.

Overall, the Equate Infrared In-Ear Digital Thermometer has some good qualities to it that could benefit a lot of different type families or persons. Although there were quite a few pros, the cons tend to make up for my decision on this product, unfortunately. Due to the inaccuracy of this in-ear digital thermometer, I would have to say that I do not recommend this product, which makes me sad due to the easy set up of this thermometer.

 The most important factor, which is also unfortunately a con, is the inaccuracy of the devise. I have tested this against my other brand in-ear digital thermometer that has been tested for accuracy prior, it they are up to 1 degree off in readings on the same person and in the same ear tested. 

This review is based on the Equate Infrared In-Ear Digital Thermometer. I have used this thermometer and compared it to my other brand digital ear thermometer to test for accuracy. This thermometer has been tested on and compared on all three of my young children as well as my husband and myself. After carefully and thoroughly testing out this thermometer, I have found some pros and cons that I have based my decision off of:

 Then put it in the ear towards the eardrum and press the second button down, which has a thermometer design on it. The thermometer takes the temperature in one second. Then you look at the reading number on the front, which is now illuminated, and the reading number will also shine a corresponding color of your result, for instance, green is good, yellow means the temperature is a little high, and red is a definite fever. The thermometer also has beeping sounds to let you know the results too

 Lastly, to remove the probe cap, you press the button at the bottom of the thermometer just under the probe. The cap comes off very easily and requires no touching of the probe in order to keeps things sanitary. Overall I was very pleased with this thermometer and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a professional product for their own personal use and to use on others. It was very easy to use and very easy to understand

When I opened this kit, I found it came with five probe cap covers, two AA batteries, the in-ear thermometer, and a case to set the thermometer in. The best way to put the batteries in is to pull the battery compartment latch from the bottom of the thermometer and lift up. The thermometer was built very well and seemed very professional; it reminds me of what my doctor would use. The included case was very secure and held the thermometer firmly in place

 It said my husband's temperature was 90.2. Next I tried pressing the power button, then inserting the device. 95

Naturally, when we buy something, we expect a small learning curve, but this is ridiculous. The device is going in the trash.

So then, I experimented. I tried inserting the device into the ear, then pressing the power button. It said my husband's temperature was 90.2

With fever thermometers hard to get during a pandemic, I was excited to be offered this digital thermometer to review, as part of the Spark Reviewer program. I could hardly believe that other reviewers hadn't already claimed all the available samples. Now, I think I know why.

 Now what's in the box is an in ear thermometer, a protective storage case, a protective probe cover, five disposable probe cap filters, a user manual, and two AA alkaline batteries. The Equate Infrared In ear thermometer makes taking anyone's temperature fast and easy. The protective case allows safe, easy, and clean storage. The provided disposable filters are excellent and fits the ear comfortably and is easily released from the thermometer by a press of a button

Top of the line thermometer!

With Covid raging in our country, being on top of your health and your children's health is necessary. Knowing that fever is a clear symptom of Covid, it was time to get a new thermometer. I was thoroughly impressed with this one! The batteries were included, so no need to purchase any which is awesome! It comes with 5 disposable probe covers which is fantastic considering three of us will be using it and has a little button on the back side of it that pops the probe cover off easily when you're finished with it. It also comes with a case to rest the thermometer in so that it doesn't get damaged in the medicine drawer or cabinet and the instruction booklet

Incredible, Easy to Use Thermometer

This "Equate Infrared In-Ear Digital Thermometer" is very useful. I have a toddler and it is a good idea to keep health and safety tools on hand. We usually use an under-arm thermometer. Yes it works great and is completely accurate for reading temperatures, but my kid gets wiggly and can be hard to keep it placed under her arm
