 I carry an ESEE Candiru in my day pack along with a small fire steel, bic liter and a SAK. Between these, I’ve got a knife for small bushcraft type work and a tool/knife for non hard use situations and 2 ways of making fire fairly quickly. The Candiru is small but very tough, easy to sharpen and with some skill and practice, you can do just about everything you would need to do in a survival situation.

Anyone EDC one of these?

 I thought it would be better with the optional micarta handles. They do make a big difference but not length wise. The high quality manufacturing is there and the knife is made really well but after spending $60 on the knife and scales and still not having enough grip, I decided that this wasn't for me. It's too heavy for neck carry and too small as a belt knife

 We'Ll cut open the package, we'll see what else was in the box when they shipped it to us and we'll go from there all right. So in the box, we've got the knife, a screen, Kydex, maybe plastic sheath and little information packet. Some stickers - and I don't know about you guys, but I'm always a sucker for stickers - love the stickers, not a little like survival information card, pretty cool, it's a cut up on the knife. By the way, this is my everyday folder been carrying this one for over six years: zero tolerance, alright, so inside the bag looks like they're, giving us two options: either a belt clip that'll attach to this for as a neck knife which, as you see that's gon Na be my plan, I've already got a spare piece of paracord and always got paracord around the house in hand super light, which once again goes to what I was saying about

 So that being said, let's take a quick break and I will try to find something to shave against. To test the sharpness and see what we actually do have here, so we'll just do a quick little test to see how sharp it is again guys this isn't the knife that I'm taking out into the camp to do but awning with or anything else. This is my end of the line. I don't have my other knife, but at least I've still got a blade on me, we'll just see what do we have for sharpness out of the box all right

I want something nice and light and small again I don't have giant hands, put my hand fits nice on the blade and I can do what I need to do. As far as making a cut without a problem, the blade seems to be pretty much razor sharp from the package

 I have seen these gold for around 25 bucks actually on eBay, which is not the best place to buy a knife personally, but I have also seen them ago for 40 bucks, so great little knife, fantastic, really like it. Decent

I can see why it is good but I think it falls short in a few categorys.

Good small knife

 It is SMALL but if you want a small fixed blade that maintains great function, this is it. I can carry in any pocket with virtually no printing, including the inside breast pocket of a jacket or the 5th pocket in a pair of Levi's (handle sticks out for easy deployment but not fully concealed in this position). There's really no excuses to leave this little beast at home.  I like the scales but I swapped them out for paracord wrap for an even lower profile

Wow what a great tool. I love the size of this knife

 The sheath is made from hard plastic, not Kydex. The fit is tight, and requires a little bit of force to lock it in. The belt clip is excellent, and will not come off without a degree of force.

 I am not going to use that three letter anagram, but you know what I'm talking about when I say that this is the perfect knife to keep on you at all times.
