Express VPN

Overall service wasnt bad, price is higher then the rest but Nord wasnt working for me so Express VPN was next on the list. Setting up was easy but I had to switch the protocol to OpenVPN manually. None of the others would work- possibly due to being blocked by my isp but word is still out on that. Even with OpenVPN protocol torrents were slow at times.

Malwarebytes found that Crossrider was hiding malware in installation packages meant to hijack browsers. Not looking great for ExpressVPN even though the company is supposed to maintain autonomy….I don’t like it.

Okay, fine -- I laid low for about 3 months and went with ExpressVPN. As a test, I logged onto a semi-private tracker and downloaded a couple of items -- VPN was active, kill switch is on. Before I did it, I checked for IP leaks, DNS leaks, and WebRTC leaks -- all good.

Lately I've been using ExpressVPN with the Lightway protocol preview, so here's my review as a general user who torrents every now and then. **Good**:. - Strong core features (speed, servers coverage, intuitive clients, no logging). - E-mail only registration and BTC payment option.

So I bought their subscription and started to use a couple of their clients and express vpn chrome extension (they do have a firefox one too btw) and it was working quite well for a couple of years (disclaimer it was quite a long time ago). The speeds were very nice, no super annoying ping or anything. It was definitely manageable. They have a shitload of servers, so that helped I think.

I have to say, I'm beyond disappointed in ExpressVPN's choices with this. The optics of this acquisition are awful for them.

Have been with ExpressVPN for nearly a year… decision time :-). Am disappointed that - despite the best efforts of their excellent technical support - ExpressVPN prevents updating/downloading from the Mac App Store and leads to a reCaptcha challenge when I try a Google search.

I've been looking at ExpressVPN, which seems very nice but Lightway is very questionable. A closed source protocol?

I still have 1 and half years on my sub what a waste of money. i should have paid up and got express vpn from the start, so much superior in every way !.
