 Because these are ceramic pickups, you can see that it comes with dime size pots and a Pcb switch. That's pretty typical for guitars in this price range, but everything in here looks pretty good. The routes look good. I will mention that there's no shielding in any of these routes though, and I have noticed this guitar is a little noisy

 I've already noticed that, but it's not as loose on this one, so that's definitely a point for this guitar. So overall, I'm definitely impressed with the quality of this guitar and the other affinities I've tried. They're square and Fender level quality instruments and you're not going to have to do a whole lot of work other than normal setup just to get them to sound and play great. So I really do appreciate you coming and hanging out today

 It's got good finish under the grain. The pickups sound pretty good. The neck feels good. Overall, I'm impressed at this price point with what you're getting

 When I was doing this, I decided not to take off the bridge, but now I'm kind of curious if there's a humbucker out in there. I'm about 95. Sure, there's not, but if you know otherwise, let me know in the comments. Other than that, there's not a whole lot to see under here other than a little bit of sawdust, so I'm going to get that cleaned up and then we'll check out what the pickups sound like

How Good is This Affordable Tele?? | 2022 Squier Affinity Telecaster Review

  The quality of the basic guitar is what one might expect from a guitar in this price range. However, as far as I can tell, it is quite a solid instrument. The hardware is fine. The tuners are a little finicky but hold tune

 Not too heavy, not too light. The wood of the body is a multiple piece alder and the neck maple. Oh, to my great happiness, the guitar is a string-through body!!! It has the six adjustable saddles, so perhaps, the best of both worlds, individually adjustable saddles and string-through body.  The pickups are ceramic but sound great

  I must say that the guitar was said to be in 'good' condition per the Amazon guidelines and description. I could not find any cosmetic flaws. None!  The guitar is around 6.5 to 7 pounds

Better Than the old Series? Refreshed Squier Affinity Telecaster - Deep Dive Review

 Intonation was way off on this one, so I spent a day setting the action and intonation. I took it to the local guitar shop to have it checked out, and aside from really light strings, it all seems to be in good shape.  I am very impressed with how well Amazon handled the return, but to be honest, I think my next guitar will be purchased in a face to face transaction.  ******************-Update Number 2-*********************  Just a few days out of Amazon's return period and my switch has done exactly the same thing

FWIW, I played a new Squier Telecaster at GC a couple months ago and was surprised by the quality. As much as I love my MIM, I was left wondering if the premium was really worth it. Disclaimer: I've only been playing for a year and don't know shit.

[QUESTION] Which is the cheapest FENDER guitar?

 I own 5 other guitars, and I really got this one as a cheap starter I could leave in my classroom for the kids to play with.  Pros: - The looks of this guitar are great, usually fit and finish is really bad on beginner guitars, but this one is pretty good. No frets sticking out, or sharp edges on the edge of the finger board (this is the biggest problem with other cheap guitars I've tried). The finish on the body is outstanding, and looks more expensive than it is

 But you can still have some fun with the sound of this guitar, so that's fine if you understand what you're getting. - The guitar jack is fine, the jack is not loose at all (another problem I've seen with cheaper guitars) - I actually like the shape of the neck, doesn't feel like a modern D shape, but more like a thicker V shape neck - The tuners keep the strings in tune, and work smoothly - The action at the nut was good (this is the hardest to fix, and usually an instant deal breaker for me when buying a new guitar)  Cons: - The finish of the neck (or lack there of) is not nice at all, the dirt and oils from your hands will build up on the neck and make it feel quite unpleasant - I don't think the frets are leveled properly, you will hear the strings scrape the tall frets when executing bends (standard fret size, between jumbo and vintage) - Out of the box, the guitar needed a lot of setup for action (lots of buzz out of the box) and the intonation was also off. This is actually quite common, and easily fixed, but the intonation was way off. If I had to adjust it any more, I would have had to adjust the neck, which is not as easy

This guitar is not made in China, but Indonesia (not sure if that's better or worse, but worth noting). The look of the guitar is actually really great, and I like the paint job on the guitar (butterscotch blonde). Hey so I got my first electric last week and think it would be cool to have a big collection of various guitars. Until I get really satisfied with how good I am, I’d like to keep them $500 or less. Right now I’ve got a Fender CD60LH and a Schecter Omen Extreme 6 LH. 

How would you rate a Squier at $500 or less? Quality guitars? I’ve heard they are really good these days. As long as they don’t feel like a cheap toy I may look into them. Plus if they aren’t too expensive I’d be more open to trying my hand at modding.

 I do a lot of research on what to get so I end up with a professional guitar. The thing I love about the affinity series is that they are made from alder, like the true fenders. A lot of other squiers are made from basswood or poplar which are a softer wood and can dent more easy. Before I changed anything on the guitar I tried it out stock

 The pickups even sounded pretty decent. They didn't have too much hum (I've had fenders with more) and the bridge pickup had some bite. Compared to the Seymour Duncan stack I replaced them with they were a little muddy, but I didn't notice it until I heard the new pickups. It was much better than my first guitar! My biggest critique is the way the fretboard is finished it picks up dirt quite easily and makes bending a little less comfortable than a rosewood or gloss fretboard
