This is a quick review for the fuzzy audio bluetooth, bt20a mini amplifier, it's a lovely little small unit that will basically go anywhere. It'S well constructed and it's fairly lightweight the controls are fairly robust. Um and like i say it's a metal case, so it should stand up to the harsh realities of life around the back. You'Ve got a lining for obviously a tv, computer, etc, etc, and obviously the speaker inputs allow you to use banana plugs equally

Could use some advice on a stereo amplifier.  Music listening, at moderate levels.. from \~6-8feet away.  Speakers are Helix Ribbon DIYSG speakers (8ohm/88db - 2.83v/1m, can handle up to 150W), and currently just use a BT20A Fosi Audio amp.  I do like the bluetooth functionality, but it's not a necessity.   


Sounds pretty good to me, and honestly, I'm not sure if or what differences I expect to hear.   But I would like to hear some thoughts from other fellas more experienced in hifi than me.  Budget is.. <$500 or so.  Would need to have solid evidence that it's worth it to go over that for me.  


Please and thank you for any tips/advice!  I really enjoy reading/learning, so feel free to share any resources or testing.. anything like that.

What do I need to do for my audio system?

So I’m kinda new to setting up sound systems but I have big plans. I have 4 speakers and a sub with a 750w stereo that the speakers are connected to. I also have an old school duel tape deck that I want to connect to the speakers. I also have plans to get a nice record player to add to my system. My stereo has rca input only, that I have used to connect my tv to. To connect a tape deck would I need to get an amp? And would I be able to connect the amp to my stereo rather than connecting my speakers to the amp?

Hey guys, I have been doing exhaustive research trying to get the necessary components for my Pro Jekt Debut Carbon Evo and the audiophile in me is having some issues I'm hoping you can help with. 

I pulled the trigger on the deck because even though I think others in the price range are contenders (namely Fluance and Rega), the Evo had everything I really wanted and the satin walnut finish really has the aesthetic my wife wanted for the space and if that's the only thing she cares about I'm happy to oblige. 

Onto my questions: 

Preamp - I was considering the Schiit Mani but after research I just don't think it's quite at the level I'm expecting. My next choice was the Vincent PHO-8 but I can't tell if it's just sold out or if it's been replaced by the PHO-300. Can anyone comment on this as well as any experience with either unit and whether or not this is a good selection for my deck? (Ideally I'd like a tube amp but I don't want to get one just to get one and I'm not ready to drop 1k+ on a preamp... yet.)

Right now in the livingroom I have a Sonos 5.1 system with the playbar, 2x One (smaller speakers back left and right) and the Sonos sub)  I'm actually quite happy with this system for movies and TV, for digital music it's built in connectivity with spotify is insanely convenient and of course the whole setup being wireless is a plus since I've moved with it twice now and setup takes all of 3 minutes. 

Originally I was hoping to connect the preamp to the playbar but it only has an optical input so I'd need a 14 dollar POS converter box to plug in 40 dollar rca cables and convert the signal to Optical so I can plug it into the Playbar where it will be amped and converted back to analog before it hits the speakers... just typing it makes me cringe. I bought the part anyway so I have a way to at least play it day one but the whole thing feels criminal. 

Please help me with a recommendation for an amp (maybe something multifunctional if it evolves to replace the sonos and the main sound system which it looks like it might). 

I'd also like a recommendation for speakers and a subwoofer. I'm not a bass head but I've found that in most cases I don't like the balance without one. 

I'd say money isn't really a concern but in this sub that phrase has an entirely different meaning lol I'm open to multiple options but really I just want something that will do the system justice as an entry or probably mid level kit.

Also please feel free to let me know if I'm just way off base here and going the wrong direction.

I have an Onkyo A-809 amp that has an issue. In both speakers (but one at a time), the sound will get super quiet and sometimes a little "staticky" sounding for short bursts before coming back (also usually in short bursts lol). This issue happens immediately after powering on sometimes, and other times it takes a while before it starts. Any ideas what the issue could be? Connection related or amp related? My speakers (Klipsch R-610F) were bought new 6 months ago, and my speaker cables are brand new.

I am currently using two HS7 studio monitors with an apollo twin duo to record guitar and listen to music. I also happen to have 2x Floor Standing Speakers (Klipsch RP-8060FA 150W 8 Ohm speakers), conveniently standing by the sides of my computer desk, connected to my home theater receiver (Yamaha RX A2070) on the other side of the room.  
  
I was hoping to connect the floor-standing speakers to my apollo twin, so I could use them to listen to my computer's audio, but I am not sure what is the best way to do it.

Would I just need to use the Yamaha as a pre-amp for Phono and then use the Sonos Connect:Amp as the power supply? Do I need the Sonos Port or something else like that and put it as an output?

Hi would love some help! I just moved into a new house and it has 8 ceiling speakers built-in. They are 8inch Polk I believe. They are all routed individually to an upstairs network closet - so 4 pairs, which comes out to 16 wires (8 red 8 black).

I'm a total newbie to this, it took me a month to figure out what the wires were and that I had to strip them and get an amplifier. I've always been big on Sonos so I have a pretty robust setup of those. I ordered an Amp and it should come next month, but I just realized it's 2 channel and what that means. So I was hoping I could get some help here? The house layout is fairly open with big openings that connect a living room (TV), dining room, and giant kitchen. The speaker layout is:

* 2 speakers in the living room
* 2 speakers in the dining room
* 4 speakers in the Kitchen, 2 over the cooking area, 2 over a hangout/stairs area

I have a sonos sound bar and surrounds - I'm trying to wrap my head around what I should do - do I get multiple amps? The network closet is upstairs so totally inconvenient to the area with the speakers - I just hooked up a cheap amp (that's only 2 ch w/ bluetooth), but it's useless b/c bluetooth doesn't reach that far... so I think I need airplay or Sonos to make it work...

One other thought is there is Coax in every room... so I could run coax for audio from the TV. Sorry for the long post, but tldr... what are my options? Can I do surround for the TV w/ a playbar, 2 surround Play Ones, and the 2 ceiling speakers? Would the only way to do that be with the Sonos Amp? Can I get the dining room speakers in on the action somehow? 

I actually don't understand what surround is... but I'd love if all the audio could come out of the dining room and kitchen too (so you can walk away and still hear)...

Should I use the Denon 7 channel and coax it to the TV somehow or maybe the sonos Port...? I read some things about a monster switch that maybe I could hook all 8 speakers to and then hook that into the sonos amp? I don't mind if the all the audio is the same, but also would be cool if I could group Living/Dining then the 4 kitchen ones separately... but 2 sonos amps is a lot of money... and also soooo backordered.

<p>I&#39;m a total newbie to this, it took me a month to figure out what the wires were and that I had to strip them and get an amplifier. I&#39;ve always been big on Sonos so I have a pretty robust setup of those. I ordered an Amp and it should come next month, but I just realized it&#39;s 2 channel and what that means. So I was hoping I could get some help here? The house layout is fairly open with big openings that connect a living room (TV), dining room, and giant kitchen. The speaker layout is:</p>

<li>2 speakers in the living room</li>
<li>2 speakers in the dining room</li>
<li>4 speakers in the Kitchen, 2 over the cooking area, 2 over a hangout/stairs area</li>
</ul>

<p>I have a sonos sound bar and surrounds - I&#39;m trying to wrap my head around what I should do - do I get multiple amps? The network closet is upstairs so totally inconvenient to the area with the speakers - I just hooked up a cheap amp (that&#39;s only 2 ch w/ bluetooth), but it&#39;s useless b/c bluetooth doesn&#39;t reach that far... so I think I need airplay or Sonos to make it work...</p>

<p>One other thought is there is Coax in every room... so I could run coax for audio from the TV. Sorry for the long post, but tldr... what are my options? Can I do surround for the TV w/ a playbar, 2 surround Play Ones, and the 2 ceiling speakers? Would the only way to do that be with the Sonos Amp? Can I get the dining room speakers in on the action somehow? </p>

<p>I actually don&#39;t understand what surround is... but I&#39;d love if all the audio could come out of the dining room and kitchen too (so you can walk away and still hear)...</p>

<p>Should I use the Denon 7 channel and coax it to the TV somehow or maybe the sonos Port...? I read some things about a monster switch that maybe I could hook all 8 speakers to and then hook that into the sonos amp? I don&#39;t mind if the all the audio is the same, but also would be cool if I could group Living/Dining then the 4 kitchen ones separately... but 2 sonos amps is a lot of money... and also soooo backordered.</p>

Connecting old wired speakers to an Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB and an Akai HX-A301W. What do i need to set up a rudimentary surround sound system using old wired speakers? Definitely not pure audiophile but it's going to be a temporary modular kind of setup until i save up for some really big Cerwin Vegas.

Which is the better sub for music? The SVS SB 1000 PRO or the SVS PB 1000 PRO?  
  
I hear that the SB 1000 pro is better for musicality however the PB 1000 pro is supposedly louder and you are more easily able to feel the guttural bass?  
  
Edit: for some reason sealed subs seem more popular than ported subs, and I'm unsure as to why?

This resulted in the drink splashes in several areas of the room including my Klipsch Reference Premier speakers and SVS subwoofer (grills were off). Particularly the speaker cones and maybe the horn tweeter.

 It appears impossible to completely disable Bluetooth. I've tested the Bluetooth connection briefly. Unsurprisingly, I don't think the DAC in the Fosi amp is as good as the one in my FIiO DAC. Using Bluetooth, the sound is thinner with less detail and subtlety, especially at the high end

 I am listening through some Dayton Audio B652-AIR bookshelf speakers. I've had two good vintage amps attached to these speakers in the same location. This Fosi amp sounds better than one, and not as good as the other. I'm mainly looking for open sound stage, low noise, and punchy, tightly articulated bass

Big Sound in a Small Package! Fosi Audio BT20A-S Bluetooth Amp Review

Asked the other day, but I would like more opinions please.    


Could use some advice on a stereo amplifier. Music listening, at moderate levels.. from \~6-8feet away. Speakers are Helix Ribbon DIYSG speakers (8ohm/88db - 2.83v/1m, can handle up to 150W), and currently just use a BT20A Fosi Audio amp. I do like the bluetooth functionality, but it's not a necessity.  
  
Sounds pretty good to me, and honestly, I'm not sure if or what differences I expect to hear. But I would like to hear some thoughts from other fellas more experienced in hifi than me. Budget is.. <$500 or so. Would need to have solid evidence that it's worth it to go over that for me.

I'm looking to upgrade my speakers from the JBL 2p to the Kali IN-5. I don't have enough space for passive speakers or an amplifier, so studio monitors are about my only option. Any thoughts on this upgrade? Would it be worth it?

Hello,

I just bought the [Klipsch The Fives powered speakers](https://www.klipsch.com/products/the-fives-powered-speakers) and I don't know the best way to connect it to a PC for best sound quality.

From what I understand, it's either Bluetooth or Optical or USB.

BT is apparently worse than the others, and I don't have an optical socket on my PC so I will have to use an adapter.

So my question is: which is better, USB or Optical+adapter? Or is there a better way?
