I mainly listen to rock and metal and very little outside of these genres Iam looking to build a pedal collection one day I have a distortion pedal and a octave fuzz combo pedal but outside of these pedals I don’t know which pedals to get, I want y’alls input on what other pedals helped y’all and inspire y’all to play more, to get better, or encouraged you to try more genres and be more well rounded because I think I need to be more well rounded myself.  Volume and gain, they both do what you'd expect them to do, and gain really does have a lot of gain as you're about to hear. As for the tight control, well, guess what? That does exactly what it says it does, it makes the sound tighter. It's a high-pass filter, which means as you turn it up, it cuts out the lows, therefore tightening the overall punch of the amp. Got it? As you saw from the intro, the settings I had, all six controls were at 12 o'clock

I feel like i keep getting different pedals that i “love” but then stop using after about a month. As an example, i bought the JHS 3 Series fuzz a couple months ago, and loved it! For the first two weeks that is. It just started to sound... artificial after that. I don’t really know how else to explain it. 

One that I actually *do* love, is the EQD Plumes. It has all of the OD sounds i want, as well as a clean boost. If i turn all of the knobs up on the clean boost setting but turn my amp down a bit, it completely overloads the tubes (I’m guessing) and creats this wonderful fuzzy goodness.
