\- I use Fusion 360 to design my cases, i really recommend you this software. \- You can check Grabcad for parts to use on your design and the resources in the SFF Forum. \- The learning curve is not a problem with the right youtube video and your mind, is a bit intuitive.

I use Fusion 360. If you're trying to achieve dimensional accuracy when printing your designs, the important thing is to design with the specifications of your printer in mind (and have a well-tuned printer). Assuming an FDM printer, design the model based around the layer height you will print at and the nozzle size you will use. SLA vs FDM vs SLS printers can all have different quirks and parameters to keep in mind when designing parts.

I have started using Fusion 360 for furniture drawings, because its great for case goods. It is totally possible to use Sketchup to produce construction documents with Layout, (same with Rhino which is used in a lot of architecture firms), but generally speaking documentation is produced in Autocad or Revit in the North America with some firms choosing Archicad or Chief Architect as an alternative to Revit, but those tend to be the exceptions or very small firms.
