I started with Hawei Watch 2 ( touch screen) moved to Fenix 3HR, and now Fenix 6. Would never go back to touchscreen personally, it was so hard to control while not looking at it, and when I got sweaty. If you want fitness tracking, I truly recommend buttons, if you want smartwatch touchscreen is fine.

Started with Samsung watch now have a FR745, at the start I missed it in only certain aspects (abit quicker to hit options) over it now.  Very happy with my decision

I also have a Vivoactive 3, but not the music version.  Upgraded from a forerunner 230; which I still have. Which I’m wearing now, since I’m waiting for a replacement cable for my Vivoactive.

As others have  mentioned, you will get used to it; but as a smart watch I prefer a touchscreen. Using buttons for smart watch functions, seems like a step backwards.

When jogging, I can do either. I never found the touchscreen to be a problem when I’m jogging; even in the most humid weather.

Had a Fenix 3HR but software is a bit wonky and it's starting to slow down. Also, the accelerometer crapped out (I think, I tried everything, even replacing the batter) and the screen is messed up after replacing the battery.

Congratulations 🎉🎉. I just ordered the Vivoactive 4s on Black Friday for $190. I prefer the smaller one as it feels less cumbersome at night. Let me know how the sleep tracking works for you

A few weeks ago I inquired about different Garmin models and updating from a Vivoactive 3. Well, luck would have it that someone on FB was selling an unopened Vivoactive 4 for $200. I talked the seller down to $175. I think I got a helluva deal. Thanks everyone and cheers.

Thanks everyone! I got a Vivoactive 4!

 The Fenix has fit that purpose ideally. At the time of purchase, I had no idea that it would sync via Wi-Fi. And this is a huge benefit as I have a Verizon MiFi. So now when I’m out and complete an activity, I can power up the MiFi and have the activity sync with that

 I tested starting from the street level walking up to the seventh floor, my office level, and it was spot on.  The compass is what pushed me to the Fenix 3 over the Vivoactive HR model. The Fenix has a magnetic compass whereas the Vivoactive is GPS based. Not everyone understands that there is a true north and magnetic north

 And this is a huge benefit as I have a Verizon MiFi. So now when I’m out and complete an activity, I can power up the MiFi and have the activity sync with that. It’s smaller, lighter and the battery lasts a lot longer because it’s not powering a huge color screen. Not to mention it has a 4,000 mAh battery, weighs just under 5 ounces, and can charge the Fenix itself

 One day at the gym while riding a stationary bike, I checked the hand based monitor against the Fenix. Both measured the exact same BPM rate. I then counted against a clock and my BPM matched what the Fenix was reporting. I also have a Tickr chest strap, which I have not yet paired or checked against the Fenix
