Quite annoying that it is supposed to turn off once the humidity level reaches the set point, but it does not. So it basically just runs all the time unless you manually turn it off, or unless the bucket filled up. Otherwise works fine

.. this one wasn't my idea. In pursuit of mold elimination, my significant other decided that the window AC units weren't getting the job done

 That pulls moisture out of the air, which collects in a bucket, which you have to empty on a regular basis. This unit has a pump, which allows you to pump it some short distance (~ 16 feet or so). The cooler cools, the pump pumps - what more could you ask for.  Well, running a dehumidifier is a lot like plopping down a window AC in the middle of the room at running that (with or without the pump)

 The de-humidifier is pumping away ((dumping its heat inside). The AC is whirling along (dumping more moisture and its heat and the dehumidifier's heat - outside). The electric meter is spinning its bearings out. The electric co-op is happy

The hose was easy enough to attach and it is easy to use, you literally just push the buttons. Incredibly straight forward and intuitive

  Downsides: it's expensive. It also gets very warm. It heats up the whole room. I had it in my bedroom overnight and even with a box fan blowing my room was HOT

 The manuals linked from this page describe a different model than I received. I would advise against ordering from this listing until the seller fixes it.  The dehumidifier works fine though. No complaints there

Poorly designed.

The box looked like i had been through the war. The unit appears to work, but the first time I took the filter screen off to clean it, a plastic piece fell out. Packaging was not sufficient to protect the dehumidifier from being dropped off the truck.
