 For skin and deer, and that kind of thing, so, let's break it down. What we're going to talk about today is the gerber freeman guide. So this is the sheath that comes in and it has a snap here. The sheath is pretty basic nylon sheath with a hard plastic inner

 I i would like to any any of you guys that have this knife, if you have a custom sheath for it, drop it in the comments, i would love to know what kind of sheath you have for this, because my next thing is going to be either Making my own custom sheath or finding one that will work for this. That does not it's nylon and it's going to last a while. It'S got that hard plastic enter, but i just don't like this sheath other than that. The knife is amazing, and let's talk about price, so price for this knife, i can tell you: gerber - has some fixed blade, knives, full tang that are over a hundred dollars this one thirty dollars, thirty bucks for this knife, and it is an all-around awesome knife really Durable, it's really wide

 Now i have cling deer in the rain. This rubber grip is awesome. You can see, it's got some texture up here and it's just a really good. It feels so good in your hand, it is just a really good, really good knife, absolutely love it

 It is very strong 30 for this knife, all around knife. Amazing, let's talk. Let'S talk sizes, it has a four inch blade, it's 8.4 inches in total lengths and it's 4

Gerber Freeman Guide [REVIEW]

 I would prefer a more durable grip surface and will either gift, resell, or use the replacement knife as a backup. Maybe I can 3-D print some better replacement grips?! I hope this review is helpful.  Very contemporary design. Stylish, really

 It is possible that keeping this knife in its sheath instead of pocket-carry might reduce chance of damage to the grips. The knife has a great feel to it, and that includes the grip shape and size. REVISED after a problem with knife: Nice knife, handsome looks, good size, great price.

 This is a sheath you get from the knife from the factory I had it on in the small of my back. It was raining when I was out for a walk. This was on me and I think some of the rain may have gotten onto the sheath went through the as they call it ballistic nylon belt chief and caused the blade to have some rust. So you know, buyer beware: this knife is not rust resistant by any means it is going to rust

 If, in your area, you are allowed to carry a knife of this size, you could use it for camping, obviously throw it in your bug out bag or hiking bag, and you could probably use it for making feather sticks. Obviously, you would never bet on a fully knife and if you do well expect your knife to be broken, but um it has a wide range use is mostly ranging from EDC to outdoor. So this isn't really a tactical knife. It'S not something for the mall ninjas to you know, shoot up a school with, not that you should be doing that anyway hold on a minute yeah

Gerber freeman guide folding knife review

  I've never been wild about it as it is too big to carry and very bulky and heavy in your hand. It also began showing some rust spots.  Instead of getting easier to open as many reviewers predicted, mine became stiffer over time. I didn't baby this knife at all and maybe that was my problem, but I think there are much better options out there for an inexpensive knife

 It'S not going to be able to cut this completely in half, but it did cut cleanly through it. Let'S go in for the stab test, [, Music ], all right guys going in for the stab test. Let'S do it again, one more time! Well guys! Every time i tried stabbing it, it just fell down, but it did penetrate it went through cleanly and it exited cleanly, which is good. In my opinion

 So, in my honest opinion, go on amazon right now. Go on knife center or one of those websites where you can buy knives that sell the gerber freeman guide, folder uh, and you know what pick yourself up one: it's an excellent knife for the money. I have heard some complaints about it, but i've never had a problem with mine. So if you wan na, if you want a good knife, do it buy the gerber freeman guide, folder anyway, guys that's a review for today

 Now, let's go in for a slash test on this milk jug, it's bleeding out! Well, the knife made a nice clean cut through it and, yes, it didn't cut it in half, excuse my language, but uh you got ta remember. This is only like a three and a half four inch blade. It'S not going to be able to cut this completely in half, but it did cut cleanly through it. Let'S go in for the stab test, [, Music ], all right guys going in for the stab test

 So it's time to test out the gerber freeman guide, folding knife and we're going to do our first three initial tests that we normally do. The hair shaving test, the twine cutting test and the blue bastard rope cutting test. So, let's hop right into it with the hair shaving test, not sure if you guys are going to be able to hear this. But here it goes and like i said not sure if the camera will focus but, like i said, that's what i call sharp it can shave hair off your leg off your face off your arm

Gerber freeman guide folding knife review and test

Good for the $20 it works fine. Out of the box it is sharp as a razor. It fits in hand great and blade deployment is smooth. Blade was centered perfect and the edge is even

 If you would put this in a better steel - and I mean like you know, even just us eight or something like that, you know or just something a little bit better. I would consider purchasing this knife, especially in the fixed blade option, but you got to have a better steel stop making throwaway junk knives. This has got to be a good knife, man that I like the layout of the knife. I like the way it's designed

 I mean just straight from Gerber: you get the gerber bear grylls scout. This is the Steel's, not the information on the seals not readily available, but the Scout. Here'S got a better steel on it. It'S a little bit thinner has a clip fits in pocket fits well in hands, got great jimping

 They usually go for about 32 to 33 bucks, and I got a deal on them for between sixteen and eighteen dollars. I think on a place that was going out of business and so I bought, I think I picked up about ten to fifteen of them and I handed them out as gifts. I gave one to my brother, who's kind of an outdoorsy guy, and so part of this review is gon na, come from his knowledge on it too. I'Ve used it a bit and yeah, so we'll just go from there

 I believe, and my brother had some issue sharpening it just being able to get the blade sharp, because the steel cut folding over on me said - and I didn't had that issue but but he did. I do have a decent amount of experience sharpening blades, though so it could be that another issue, I've seen on videos that the knife tip has snapped on people's knives, because the steel isn't amazing. I had a buddy that snapped on his. I have not had that issue, but I also haven't beat up the knife the same way that a lot of people do

Gerber Freeman Guide Folder Review and Demonstration

The good: Love the look of this knife

 I have one already from that same series but I didn't know that they had this style. Check it out. So like I said I did have a knife from this style of knife or series they brought out. I do own one and it's this guy here and it is the Gerber Freeman guide and I got this a while ago a couple of months ago

 Okay so I got it out of the packaging as usual that wasn't easy and in the packaging here it's got some paperwork with your usual warnings on it. If you're buying knives you better know how to use them and be safe with them. Got to have me some coffee. It's early

 It's not going to be going anywhere. There's no rattle to it. It's a decent size belt you'd be able to wear it on, which is not bad. It's the nylon sheath, which for me, I do have a couple of knives and in fact, my folder has the nylon sheath in it with the insert and I did notice that no rattle or very little rattle on it, which they did a good job there

 This stuff looks good. There's no sharp edges to it. It's been cleaned up nicely. No real sharp edge on the 90 here, but I'm sure that's easy enough to clean up

Gerber Freeman Guide folding knife - Kinda undecided on this one, I own the fixed blade version of the freeman gude and really like it. I use it for general chores around the cottage. The handle for me is very comfortable, SO... when I saw this I had to have a look at it. Well not my favorite Gerber product to tell the truth. Kinda undecided on this one.

Gerber Freeman Guide Folding Knife - Kinda undecided on ...

This knife is alright but it seems a bit cheap, i know i didn't spend alot of money but it seems you would find this knife at the local wal mart hanging on a hook. It's a little too heavy for my liking and i'm sure there are people who may like their knives this way i don't. You would be happier to spend a few extra dollars and get a american made knife that has some quality. It did not come with that hair popping blade that i was hoping for, it could barely pass the paper cutting test and that finish that Gerber puts on their blades, whats that all about? I guess i'm just spoiled by Buck Knives

It's a little too heavy for my liking and i'm sure there are people who may like their knives this way i don't
