Gerber Suspension

I'm currently using a Gerber Suspension NXT and it's not great. I've gotten the pliers stuck sideways/crossed past each other a couple of times and it required another set of pliers to fix when that happens. My tool belt typically has a box cutter, a small bit kit that can act as a screwdriver, tape measure, and a tape leash with a sharpie and gloves attached to the leash as well.

I love the suspension/springy handles that the Gerber has, which is invaluable for repeated tasks like snipping floral wire or zipties, so that's a must have feature. I'm down to pay a little more than the $20-30 if it gets me better pliers/snips, up to $40-60, but I'd feel silly buying a Leatherman Wave or whatever at $70-100, total overkill.

Gerber suspension I would guess. Some people recommended Leatherman because it is Leatherman or die. Others recommended Chinese knock offs with no warranty. I admit the Chinese clones of the wave/surge model are tempting but if you want any guarantee of quality and warranty then you should stick with either Leatherman or Gerber, of which the Gerber suspension gives you all the major features (locking, outside accessible tools, files, saw, knives and screw drivers with bit kits) while still offering quality and warranty.
