When I read and watched a lot of videos describing this as a sound design tool more than a pedal, it only took me fiddling around with the presets to see this was truly the case here. I'm still double checking the manual and using the presets to better familiarize myself with the pedal, but it doesn't seem as complex as I feared it might be. I **love** how delay lines float above the Ultra Plate setting, and Cathedra with the Swell function engaged is \*chef's kiss\*. While the Specular Tempus had a lot of brilliant algorithms, I used the 70's plate reverb 95% of the time.

I was considering getting a Strymon Flint/Boss RV-6 to complete my rig when I discovered the GFI Specular Tempus. I was impressed at how it can deliver the lush, ambient and space-y tones. The delay is also a plus since I was thinking it could replace my TCE Flashback 2 to free up space on my board. However, I'm more into the classic 'verb and delay sounds and I only dabble in ambient stuff occasionally.

Have you checked out the GFI Specular Tempus? 100ma draw, stereo in/out, reverb and delays (could replace the Caverns and Fathom with it tbh.) It does a magical 70s Plate Reverb, has cool pitch shifted reverbs, anti shimmer reverb, and the combo delay + reverb algos are beautiful.
