 I've had it now sitting here for a few months So I'm a crap out of luck there if something goes wrong with this so that is very unfortunate, so you are greeted of course with a CPU fan header right here or water pump Whatever you want to be eight phase power connector, which would be pretty standard on anything newer today And then of course your VRM here An aluminum heat sink piped down to the heat sink here for your NVMe Be kind of nice if I open that now and there's an NVMe still in there. This is a neat little thing. They did on these ITX boards because there's no room Even though it does look like you could have possibly put a normal full-size one here They didn't so this would plug in here give you your full-size four pin And now you would have to to support any other fans you want to put on your system now with an ITX build There's a chance that you're gonna have to use a fan hub. You have one for your CPU and two headers for other fans So what this does this piece here actually connects to the heat sink that's surrounding everything Going out to this pipe

Motherboards are continuously changing, introducing a lot of features and functions, but it doesn't necessarily mean that they have to be always huge and have the standard ATX form factor. You can have most of the features and functions, well, almost all, in a mini-ATX motherboard. This can be helpful if you are looking to build a mini-ATX system and save some space on your desk

 Another 4-pin fan connector. For this one you must use the adapter in the box. TPM module connector and the front audio panel header. Now let's check the back of the motherboard

Review of the Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro AX

*Mainboard*: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX. *RAM*: 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3600. *GPU*: Palit RTX 3080 GamingPro OC (deshrouded and without rgb, fans and backplate). *GPU fans/intake*: 3 x Noctua A12x15 PWM chromax

SFF replaced the PS4Pro - finally some 4K@60FPS gaming in the living room

  Next I put the 1600 back in and flashed to F41 ... but this time I purposely did not reset the BIOS to default settings

 This seems to pretty consistently produce a board that appears to be DOA (at least with a Ryzen 5 3600 installed). It's also a much more plausible explanation than Gigabyte sending out a rash of dead boards. We've dealt with them for years (though admittedly with products a bit higher up the food chain) and have never had QC experiences of that nature.  They're not totally off the hook, though

 dead, right?  Wrong! Being familiar with the finicky BIOS requirements for different CPU's in this board, I tried something older. It was actually an AMD A8. Well, that was too old (not on the compatible CPU list) but it did prove that the board wasn't dead. With that CPU installed, it did everything you'd expect -- except POST

 I'm using this board right now. Performance-wise, it's been fantastic.  If you're a tinkering sort, and you know what you're doing, and you have access tp extra Ryzen CPU's, then this is a solid choice, it's probably the most "bang for the buck" in this price range. On the other hand, if you're not all of these things, you're only going to save 5 or 10 bucks over the next competing brand

OK, full disclosure: I did not buy this board. I am a 35yr system builder who swapped a (better) motherboard with a good friend for this one ..

DOA De-Mystified

 I'm very happy with this particular board overall for its small and compact size, it is very feature rich. What do I mean by that? We get PCIe 4.0, two M.2 slots, Wi-Fi 6, it's great that they include Wi-Fi and we get 2

 I just didn't find the most relevant information when I was searching certain things about this board readily available. There was a lot of kind of sleuthing through Reddit and other chats and things like that. So overall, the board itself works great. I've had a fantastic experience and it's definitely feature rich for its small size

ITX Motherboard for Ryzen 5000?

I wanted to do a mATX build as ITX type builds seem to be super expensive these days.  My build:  Case: Cooler Master Masterbox NR400 w/ODD Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro-P Memory - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) CPU - Ryzen 5 5600x GPU - XFX Radeon RX 570 RS XXX Edition 1286MHz, 8gb GDDR5 SSD - WD_Black SN750 1TB NVMe PSU - Cooler Master Watt 750 Watt [Silencio] [Semi-Modular] ODD - LG Electronics 14x SATA Blu-ray Internal Rewriter, Black [WH14NS40] Case Fans - upHere 5 pack - 120mm 5V 3PIN ARGB Case Fan [PF1207-5] CPU Cooler - Vetroo V5 CPU Air Cooler w/ 5 Heat Pipes 120mm w/Addressable RGB Lights Extra: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO Light Enhancement Kit  I bought this board as I wanted plenty of USB ports and the integrated rear IO shield and the Pro-P version was cheaper than the regular Pro version (difference being this Pro-P has the 2.5G ethernet port rather than the gigabit ethernet port).  The only negative I didn't think of, and I didn't check with other boards (as this seemed to be the only one with a decent selection of USB ports) is that the PCI x1 plug gets covered up if you have a 2 slot GPU because I was planning on using my PCI Wireless adapter until I had the PC set up to be hardwired and couldn't because of that

 My RAM is controlled though Corsair's iCUE software. I filled the two empty RAM slots with Corsair's matching light enhancing kit so there's no gaps in RGB-ness.  I used "User Benchmark" and this is the link to the current build benchmark: https://www.userbenchmark

Was about to say Gigabyte AORUS B550i Pro AX. Perfect Motherboard for me (also running the 5600X with undervolt there, -29 is my sweet spot). But in General: aim for b550 or b450 Chipset. Check curve optimizer settings for free Performance boost/ undervolt

I'm going to build a PC as workstation using AMD Ryzen 5 5600X. I will install Ubuntu 20.04 on it.  Please suggest some decent motherboard which is quite compatible with Linux and does not cost an arm and leg. 

I'm asking this question because a month ago I built another PC Aorus B560M pro with Intel i5-11600K  for a friend and the experience was less than Ideal under Ubuntu. First it did not recognize Live CD, and after I installed using a DVD, and I encounter lost of bugs, like randomly blinking keyboard, network disconnection. Also the BIOS setting is anything but clear.
