 As you can tell by the shape, it floats super well. Hello, I'm Blake Paul, we're at Bald Face Lodge and this is the Gremlin. It has a huge nose, tapers down to the tail with a little kick there, awesome graphic. The Gremlin follows the model as being a wider board, you can kind of ride it a little bit shorter

What I liked about it, they did a really good job with the C3 camber on this board, so that's another factor that I didn't talk about. C3 camber from GNU and Lib, it's got a slight little bit of rocker that's hardly noticeable to the eye in the middle and then it cambers up under the feet at both sides and because they did it so subtly, loved it. The width of course, I always like boards that are a little wider than what are deemed average, so anything between 26 and 27 for me is sort of my sweet spot with a size 10

 The board also features magnet traction to enhance the edge hold even further. I enjoyed this profile. The board was fast edge-to-edge and full of energy coming out of turns. I found it to be damp but lively and very stable

I would say I’m an intermediate+ snowboarder. I’ve been snowboarding for about 10 years, but living in southern California, I only rode 2-3 times a season at Big Bear/Mt. High and don’t see a lot of powder. Got an ikon pass this year so I hit up Mammoth back in April and plan to go back a few times this winter!

I’ve been riding a [Gnu Carbon Credit](https://www.evo.com/outlet/snowboards/gnu-carbon-credit-btx-snowboard-2015) (159W) from 2015 and want to add another board that’s quick and can carve well. I usually play around with jumps and not as much on rails after being traumatized by my buddies wrecking their ribs/collar bones when we were just starting out haha

I see Gnu Gremlin and Ride Warpig being recommended a lot and just wanted to see some other recs! I don’t ride switch a whole lot so I’m open to directional/directional twin boards as well. Thanks in advance!

GREMLIN | 2020 - 2021 GNU SNOWBOARD

I've  been riding for a long time, and would consider myself intermediate to  advanced. I can ride pretty much any resort terrain, but am not one to  boot jumps or hit large drops. I like exploring the trees, searching for  powder caches, and hitting steeps and chutes when the snow is good. I  will not be in the park.

Currently  riding a 2015ish flow drifter. Hybrid camber (feels like a lot of  rocker compared to past boards), slightly soft, not quite wide enough  for my 11.5 boots. Union force bindings from 2014. Got an ikon pass for  the first time this year and had a fun spring, but realizing it's time  for a more serious board. The Flow is very fun, but not great for  carving, and enjoyable but not suited for powder.

I  will be riding Mammoth the most probably, but hoping for some trips to  Taos, Utah, CO. Perhaps some xmas time on the east coast.

Been looking at more directional boards and would love some input.

Endeavor archetype (would this be too limiting?)

What's a good freeride setup to fill out my quiver/ replace my current board?

 It gives you the load and snap of traditional camber, but an ease of entry when you're loading into a turn, as well as giving it a better flat spot to pop off of. This board is available in 148, 152, 155, and 158. I rode this board at Loveland Ski Area in the pre-season on a 10-inch powder day, so there was fresh snow in the middle of the runs, perfect corduroy on the sides of it, average visibility, zero wind, colder temperatures, and I rode it with my Rome Black Label bindings and my K2 Thraxis boots. This board has an ever so slightly above middle of the road directional flex, so you do get a softer nose stiffening up through the middle to the tail with a decent amount of torsional flex

 I rode this board at Loveland Ski Area in the pre-season on a 10-inch powder day, so there was fresh snow in the middle of the runs, perfect corduroy on the sides of it, average visibility, zero wind, colder temperatures, and I rode it with my Rome Black Label bindings and my K2 Thraxis boots. This board has an ever so slightly above middle of the road directional flex, so you do get a softer nose stiffening up through the middle to the tail with a decent amount of torsional flex. It's not like mind-blowing, it's there, you notice it, there's boards with more and there's boards with less, and the stability of this board is pretty dang solid. With that wider platform, it cuts through crud, it doesn't get bucked around

 When you're on edge, you feel locked in, and that magnet traction grips. When you're in firm snow, you feel locked in, and you can really drive this board. You can push into that C3 camera profile and feel that hinge point flex the board, which gives you from the middle to the back contact point this edge that you can lock in and drive out of a carve, but it still initiates off the front. Like I said, it's quick and nimble, so that transition from toe to heel is very smooth

 This board features Mervin's C3 camber profile, which is a camber 2.0 with a hinge point right between the feet, and then it comes down and kind of mellows out before the up kick in the tip of the tail. Hi everyone,


Looking for suggestions on a new board for the up coming season.  Will be riding groomers and ice most of the time in Michigan with my kids. I will be heading west to Tahoe for a week and maybe east to Maine. My current board is a 2013 gnu carbon credit with flow bindings. It’s been a great board, but my wife and I decided to splurge a bit this winter. She got a custom set of shaggy’s and  I plan on getting a new board and bindings. I will keep the banana board as a backup/ switch it up once in awhile. 

I was looking at union forces for the bindings as my old flows were a bit to inconsistent. I have looked at so many boards my mind hurts.  Directional twin? Camber? Rocker? So what should a mid 30’s Midwest dad get?
