 It'll be a little bit more expensive, but it has a 3 700 milliamp hour battery instead of a 2800 one and the battery life will be much better. Thankfully, the Pixel 4 is equipped with 18 watt wired fast charging to get that relatively small battery back up to full pretty quickly. and it does have wireless charging capabilities as well. And to be totally honest with you guys, the battery life and the gimmicky motion sense stuff is the only problems that I've had with the Pixel 4

 Also inside that forehead is a few pieces of tech that you would actually find on all iphones with face Id. The Pixel 4 uses a dot projector and a flood illuminator to accurately scan your face for a very quick and easy facial unlocking system. Given that I wear a mask every time I go out in public, I think I would have preferred an in-display fingerprint reader here, but the facial unlocking system on the Pixel 4 is actually quite a bit faster than the Face Id on my iphone 12 series phones. so thumbs up for that Google

 Android is Google's baby, and it runs as expected on the Google Pixel 4. In the time that I've been testing this phone, I've encountered very few issues, and because of that 90 Hertz display, it feels just as snappy as most modern flagships. I put this phone up against the S21 Ultra and saw very few differences between the two. In most apps, the Pixel 4 is running a Snapdragon 855 and six gigs of Ram, both of which should be perfectly capable of doing almost anything on your phone for at least the next couple of years

 You know, four hours of screen on time versus like two and a half if you're a heavy user. like if you enjoy taking a lot of photos or you play a lot of games on your phone, I'd strongly consider forgetting the Pixel 4 and just going for the Pixel 4 Xl. It'll be a little bit more expensive, but it has a 3 700 milliamp hour battery instead of a 2800 one and the battery life will be much better.  I have the "always on" display turned on, and allow all notifications to display on my lock screen. I have gesture navigation enabled which keeps the soli radar chip active and looking for gestures above the device when its stationary. I stream videos and play music over Bluetooth in the car. I also use navigation when walking frequently

 Well, it hasn't been a problem. I typically have 17-30% percent remaining in the morning and can easily throw the phone on charge before leaving the house.  Remarkably, the phone lasts all day and well into the next morning without being charged. I had concerns about going to sleep with a low battery and having the phone die during the night and then no alarm in the morning. Well, it hasn't been a problem. I typically have 17-30% percent remaining in the morning and can easily throw the phone on charge before leaving the house

 Let's see how the device performs in real day-to-day usage. In the car, in a pocket with Bluetooth and the normal stuff we all do with our devices. The TINY subpar battery had better be good. Otherwise 2 of these phones are coming right back to you

Pixel4 - On The Fence With This One - Google Has Cut One too Many Corners Here

 I mean, the Galaxy's 10 was still doing 60hz. but you did have the Oneplus 7 Pro and the Oneplus 7t Pro that did 90 Hertz which was really cool. so I did like having that type of capability on this type of device. Now we did have the Usb type C port on the bottom which was really cool and on the sides

 Now winning it off with the battery life. This thing has a 2 800 million power battery inside of it, which was another kind of downside. You know it should have had over a 3000 milli power battery and for this one to have a smaller size battery like this one is pretty insane. It also brought a 90 Hertz panel so the panel itself required more power and the fact that they put like i think it was a smaller size battery than its predecessor or something like that

 I don't know why they knew that made no sense. They eventually fixed it. but I wish they added more storage models here too. But the performance side of things, in my opinion, was actually pretty good

 We had Ib certification. we had wireless charging as well which was really cool and all in all on the outside it was actually a pretty interesting phone. You know, I actually did like the way this phone kind of performed at least on the outside and I think it was a good looking phone. It definitely was not an ugly looking phone

Google Pixel 4 In 2022! (Still Worth It?) (Review)

Very poor battery life- expect about half a work day with moderate usage. Love the gestures feature, super loud speakers, and great camera, but the pixel 4 is just too wimpy. Also surprised at how small it is, since the screen is "bigger" than my last phone. The 16:9 aspect ratio makes the phone significantly narrower, which is a big issue for keyboard use when typing anything and holding the phone vertical

After 3 days... This is going back

 So when an alarm or a timer is going off as your hand enters that radar bubble, it quiets the alarm and then you can dismiss it by tapping or swiping away over the phone. That, for me, was my favorite. It worked really well. I can sleep with my phone on this pixel stand next to the bed and when the alarm goes off, I just reach for it and it's already quieting down

 When I first tried this at the event, I was getting a success rate of like 10 percent. I'm not even exaggerating like it was pretty abysmal. Now with some troubleshooting and practice and some tips from Twitter, I'd say I'm up to like a 70 swipe success rate maybe 75. So it's less of like a big arm movement although that sometimes does work, but it's more of like a casual swipe and not too close to the phone like right around where that radar bubble might be

 That's like an S pen level feature. I personally probably won't use it too much, but I can see how people who use that would find it a really big deal. But yeah, the best part of the Pixel again is how refined Android is. if you want the latest version of Android, if you want to be first with updates, if you want the coolest edge features and the assistant and all that is the phone to get

 and then the Xl having a 3 700 milliamp hour battery and the smaller Pixel 4 having a 2 800 milliamp hour battery that's one of the smallest I've seen in a phone in a while. But impressively, these phones have had for me. okay, battery life, but there's a big reason for that. I was briefly messaging Dave2d who's he's testing this smaller Pixel 4 and he said he's getting around five hours of screen on time, which if I take his word for it, that's actually pretty impressive

Google Pixel 4 Review: Inside the Hype Machine!

 An overnight charge to 100% would all be gone by 7pm if I wasn't quite careful. To counter this I bought a charger for the car so I can give it a commute-time top-up and things are better now. Wireless charging is cool and Qi chargers all seem to work fine. Makes charging in the car a breeze with a charger built into the holder

  It's an expensive business getting a Pixel phone in this country (New Zealand) since it's a buy from Amazon in the US, shipping to the other end of the world, paying GST (our sales tax) converted to NZ dollars added up to $1,550.  Was it worth it? Let's take a look.  ** Edit: After nearly a year, I just love this phone, absolutely rock-solid even with over a hundred apps installed, I'm revising from 4 to 5 stars **  I've owned a lot of android phones and had the Pixel 4 for a few months now and it's performed pretty much flawlessly, both the software and the hardware - as I expected it would. I really like Google's own implementation of their Android O/S - it's clean and just works

 There are some UI annoyances that I'll come to later. Other makes (Huawei, Samsung) all seem to be clogged up with unnecessary and buggy extra apps and take years to get Android updates through. I get Google's updates within days of release and I've never had a bad one.  In their attempt to regain a handful of pixels from the bottom of the screen, Google have removed the Home and Back on-screen buttons and replaced them with gestures

 Bluetooth, WiFi, and 4G connectivity all seem solid.  Battery life is marginal, my only real complaint about the hardware. An overnight charge to 100% would all be gone by 7pm if I wasn't quite careful. To counter this I bought a charger for the car so I can give it a commute-time top-up and things are better now
