I recently had foot surgery and have not been able to clear my steps/sidewalk and driveway as well as I'd like to with a shovel. I ordered this product, ensuring I found something safe for my dogs, in hopes of getting the snow/ice cleared up to help me when needed. I found that it works great! I am really impressed when I lay out the salt and in a matter of minutes cuts through the snow. Now I cannot speak to heavy layers of snow/ice however 3-4 inches on the ground and it holds up just perfectly
