Grip-On 111-10 10-Inch Review

Work ok and like the euro-style release lever but the screw adjustment is gritty at best.

While this may be a a well built tool, at the end of the day I like tools that work as intended before tools that look nice.  I've found in our shop (Truck Service) we've had MUCH better luck with Milwaukee Brand vise grips on tough jobs. This is not to say the Grip On (snap on) don't work, it's just that the teeth and overall clamping force are not close to Milwaukee or even regular old Vise Grips.  With that said, the fit, finish, and construction is top notch!

Nice for home use, but not up to the task for real shop usage.

Black powder coating could be better. Comparing three of these I bought, one one set it's gloss, on another it was matt/flat and on a third the powder was all wrinkled and/or had a ton of dust trapped underneath. I returned the wrinkled one, for this price point I expected better. VERY inconsistent fit and finish
