 Okay, so the next one I want to talk about real quick is called a dark calm for men. This is probably one of the worst scents I've ever smelled in my life and I wanted to highlight it so you never buy it. I'll step on the grenade for everybody. this smells like burnt plastic so it's like they took one note from your car noir and then mixed it with burnt like PVC Pipe Oh it's so bad

 So Presentation: I Love the bottle I Like the dark look the black and white I think that's a cool, it's sleek I'm gonna give it a nine out of ten performance for me. six plus hours. so maybe six, six and a half. I have a bias towards the sense I'm gonna give that a seven out of ten for performance I Know some people are not getting nearly that, but at least on my skin, that's what it's lasting

 we're going to talk about its performance on my skin from the new formulation and of course the vintage as well. Then I'm going to talk about my thoughts and then I'm going to talk about a few new fragrances that are very similar to it that weren't in the original. Drakkar Noir Family Line video and then of course I'm going to give it my overall rating.  and then in the middle of the fragrance you have coriander, carnation, cinnamon and juniper and jasmine. and then in the base you have a leather, sandalwood, fir, amber, patchouli, oakmoss, vetiver and cedar. So to my nose what? I pick up on the most in the top is the rosemary and the lavender for sure the middle of the fragrance. I'm not really sure I think the rosemary lavender are pretty strong and then it kind of goes into the base notes where you get that fir, balsam fir scent and then of course the oakmoss and those are the most notes that I think are the strongest in the scent and the ones that stick out the most

 Not like 'Canoe' for example, which screams of lavender and coumarin. There are some woody notes at the base and plenty of aromatic and floral notes between the typical bergamot/ lavender accord. It's the way these florals and aromatics are blended that makes it 'new'.

Terrific Stuff!  Not quite as i remember it but great nonetheless..

 So I'm sure it's not unique anymore, but I honestly can't say I have any fragrances in my collection currently that smells like Jacquard Noir, so it's not redundant to me. I'm actually very excited to actually get full wearings out of this and see how it develops and wears throughout the day. And also a fun fact, the perfumer behind Jacquard Noir actually created Yves Saint Laurent's Loam and Lanouite de Loam. So I think that is actually pretty cool

99, so I got it for around 25 bucks for a hundred mill bottle, which I think is actually a very good price. It is of course an eau de tola concentration and I'm assuming this is going to be like an eighties powerhouse fragrance, but let's go ahead and take off the cellophane here and crack open this box. So here is the box without the cellophane that actually does kind of have like a nice kind of pattern, like 3D textured around the whole thing. On the bottom is you're going to be your batch code to authenticate your product and see when your product was actually produced

 Now honestly guys, this may be a shocker, but I've never actually either owned a bottle of Jacquard Noir or even smelled it, unless when we do my first impression and it does remind me of something because I have heard a lot of people used to wear this and still do to this date. So maybe I passed by someone that actually had this on and it may kind of trigger my memory of it, but never owned a bottle and never smelled it. And I don't know anybody that actually wore this fragrance, like my father or any like family members, nothing like that. So pretty much going into this fragrance completely blind, not knowing what to really expect besides it's going to be obviously like a classic Fougere style fragrance, which like I said in the intro, I am in love with Fougere barbershops, kind of aromatics, cheap rough fragrances

 And also a fun fact, the perfumer behind Jacquard Noir actually created Yves Saint Laurent's Loam and Lanouite de Loam. So I think that is actually pretty cool. I'm a huge fan of the Lanouite de Loam. Obviously that's a very sexy, spicy date night cardamom fragrance

GUY LAROCHE DRAKKAR NOIR (FRAGRANCE UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSION!)

I don't know how close this reformulation Is to the early-80s original. It's a wonderful fragance, but its projection Is very limited, and It doesn't last long.  Update: It performs better if applied right before putting on a 100% cotton shirt. And yes, you may need to reapply It after a few hours

I remember in the '90s putting one or two sprays of this on and it lasting for hours. I put on six sprays before I left the house and it's lunch time and the scent is gone. New formula perhaps? Scent is amazing like I remember but not in the performance.

 This fragrance does not offend me so it must be good. It is not overwhelming and it has some staying power but it does not last much more than three hours.
