Hamilton Beach 35034 Review - The Best Deep Fryer Of 2021

 I dont know. I bought this for making mostly donuts so this is large enough 2 make 4 donuts @ a time. All the others I've looked @ only fried 2 donuts @ a time. What 2 do what 2 do

The 1st unit I received the heating units mount was broken. The cheap plastic slide that mounts (with 4 little little little screws) to the side of the fryer itself were broken off do to the heating unit being mounted to it during shipping thus it’s own weight snapped the litle little little plastic mounts off. So I returned that one and the replacement had the exact same problem. Now I'm in a quandary, what should I do ? Should I pack this thing up and return for yet another unit or just get one from onother manufacturer

3 stars before I use it for the 1st time

 I love the fryer. I just wish the manufacturer would provide an adequate cord so I don't burn down the house.

I really like the fryer, but I gigged the Durability score because of the cord. The electric cord that came with it is just a lamp-type gauge cord and only two prongs. It gets so hot during normal use that it melts the plug and the outlet. According to the manufacturer, if the cord gets that hot, the fault is your household wiring, but I tried it on three different plugs in two different rooms and the plug ended up melted into putty and the prongs were pointing in two different directions

Pros: Holds temperature well Some parts are easy to clean Easy Controls  Cons Price (too expensive for quality in my opinion) Reaches temp very slowly Temperature goes up the 375 F (this may not be a negative for you) Some parts are very hard to clean Difficult to empty Very short cord Requires very large quantity of oil due to the space below the basket  I bought this for my father as a father's Day gift and while he has used it and it is convenient in some ways, I believe overall our previous method of using a le creuset and a candy thermometer was more efficient overall.
