I was a little concerned when I opened the box and pulled the steamer out that the plastic steaming bowls felt like a thin plastic. I felt like I needed to be very careful with them, washing, handling, that they wouldn't bend and crack. But I have used the steamer every day for about a week and a half now, and I'm becoming more comfortable with the plastic. They still are a little thin, and I will be careful

im giving it 3 stars bcs cleaning it is easy, its versatile, and really easy to use. if it weren't for the leaking i would give it 5.

 That being said I think there may be other buyers like me who maybe are rough on equipment when cleaning it, especially with 5 or 6 pieces that need cleaning and have many groves and crevices. Anyway, hopefully this helps someone who is on the fence. If you aren't sure you will be happy with cleaning 7 pieces of plastic and want a steamer you can use daily or several times a day then then is probably not for you.

I wanted this for months, and then I returned it.

 Absolutely stupid water indicator light - first it's on all the time, and second because of this light you can't really see water level. It takes longer to cook compared to the previous model. Although the end result is pretty good so far. Poor manual, does no always cover the details

While 20 minutes is a perfect amount of time, the fact that the steamer keeps running in "keep warm" mode after the end of the time is inane, and can't be disabled as an option.  I want the eggs to cook and then be done cooking at the end of the time, and if they cool to room temperature afterwards that's fine by me

Careful with lightweight, brittle clear plastic

so far no breakage. -water mineral deposits showed up after first use! Difficult to remove without using more drastic measures. -cord is about 6" too short.  FINAL VERDICT: I'll be surprised if this last 3 years? Would I buy again
