 In my opinion, this lid should have survived the tumble; it landed on carpet. At most, one might expect a crack in the glass; not complete obliteration.  Update: Hamilton Beach customer service was extremely cooperative and thorough in investigating the incident. Their first concern was my well being, and if I required medical attention

Perfect size cooker for 2 people

 While it looks classy, I prefer functionality and ease of cleaning over looks- in this case, a white liner over black. ;)

Works as Expected

 It is lightweight and easy to carry and manage. With the exception of one Brunswick stew recipe (which I'll start making only half at time) it fits my needs.

This is a good product but it runs small. The description says it's 4 quarts but I poured water into it and was only able to get in 3.5 quarts. It cooks well and I like how it automatically flips over to "warm" when the cooking time is complete
