This has been an awesome coffee pot Okay, so every once in a while the big manufacturers that have been around forever get a spark of brilliance and hit one out of the park It is only my first week with this new coffee maker, but just going off what I have experienced so far This is a home run feels well made and solid for the price Our other coffee maker is a $2 K plus Seiko super automatic and while the Hamilton Beach is not comparable It does have that tight solid feel to everything However, the HB does beat the Seiko on some of the design elements I love how the water and coffee are both exceedable from the front. The Seiko is not. Let's not forget the Alexa integration I thought it might be a novelty but using routines to time my coffee different each day is really useful I am astounded that this machine comes at this price point and I am sure their competition is astounded and worried as well Not only does it make awesome coffee It's also smart best invention since hand warmers how how anyways brewed a pot of coffee immediately after receiving and I really did Got to say is one of the best homemade coffees I've had pairs seamlessly with Alexa like how awesome is it to be just waking up and saying Alexa make me some coffee Today's the first day so I can't wait to be able to do that in the morning LOL, I would give this 10 stars if I could it's just a great little machine if you are on the fence Seriously, just jump over

 Being able to prepare everything before I go to bed and then command Alexa to start the brew cycle when I’m ready for my morning coffee is great. Also, it makes a decent tasting cup of coffee, although I don’t really notice a difference between the different brew strengths. Here’s what needs improvement. Hamilton Beach needs to rethink what they consider the correct temperature for a perfect cup of coffee

 You have to hold the coffee maker in place while you force the carafe under the brew basket. I don't know if it's the spring on the brew basket or a problem with the lid on the carafe. Very frustrating. Perhaps a re-design of the two items mentioned above is in order

Loved it...at first.

  Coffee tastes fine, easy to set up, and seems easy to clean. I’ve only had it a few hours, and I will update this review if I need to, but as of today, I don’t think it’s worth full price, which is currently $100.  I paid $30 + my $30 in rewards for Prime credit card use, so roughly $60. The only thing I can see that would warrant such a high price for a basic coffee maker is the Alexa function

 It's got, it takes an eight to 12 cup basket style filter. We've got a brew switch right here. This starts the brew and stops it. We've got a brew strength

 It does kind of get a little bit louder and a little bit more steam comes out. Okay, so it's been brewing about we're up to the four cup mark and it's right at the four minute and 30 second mark brewing. So it brews about a cup a minute. And so under your Alexa app, this will show up as a coffee maker

Great coffee pot, but it will die ~1y mark

The machine makes a good pot of coffee. It does it’s job, but it doesn’t do much that’s particularly, “smart.” You can load it the night before and set it to automatically make coffee in the morning, or start it remotely. However unfortunately you have to remember to hit the, “ready to brew” button

 And I really enjoyed it. And I think this is kind of a neat feature. This is not, you know, this is a pretty standard coffee maker. Again, check out my video on how to make a pot of coffee

 So I left it unplugged for three or four minutes. It looks like it all came back. Again, there's that fancy green light that you're going to want to see. And that's why they got this big sticker on the front

 But I think this one is, other than those just a couple of little hiccups, I think this is pretty doable for most people. I hope the video helps. And I really enjoyed it. And I think this is kind of a neat feature

 So one thing about this coffee maker is like I said, you can turn it on and off right from this switch here. It used to be the older model of this before they added wifi. You could program this to come on at like five in the morning from the control panel. That's no longer the case

 And as others have mentioned, the coffee is hot, especially after I have the first cup and the coffee sits on the burner for awhile. To hot to drink a second cup immediately.  Overall a decent unit and performs the most important function for me: the Alexa skill commands to turn on the coffee maker and make a pot in the morning. Also, unlike my more expensive coffee makers, this one has no trouble re-connecting to my wifi network if the power goes off and comes back on

The good: after using other coffee makers that tried to leverage Alexa and failed, it's nice to find one that works consistently. Although it's awkward having to "arm" the Alexa skill by pressing a button on the machine for it to work.  The so so: the coffee is fine although as others have mentioned I can't tell the difference in brew strengths using the button.  Needs improvement: whenever I pour a cup from the carafe, it drips coffee on the counter
