 I keep a towel around to lay over my workout mat when I need extra grip. I don't like the feel of a textured surface when I'm doing the ab workout though so I'm glad to be able to throw a towel on if I need to keep my foot from slipping during yoga and tag it off when I'm doing pushups or an ab routine.  Also, please note, I cannot speak to durability yet. I'll try to update after I've abused it for a few months

I use the mat on solid concrete but it is insulating and I don't feel any painful stress points when doing sit-ups, yoga, and other strength building exercises

  My only complaint (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is the mat is only 70 inches. I knew this when I bought it, but it sure would be nice if they made it at least 72. None of my exercises have me laying on the full mat so I don't end up hanging off the end. The closest are a couple of leg lift stomach work outs that leave me feet off the end of the mat, but I'm holding them up off the ground so it wasn't a problem for that

A bit short, but super soft

I started at Camp Gladiator boot camp in January, and many of the camps are outdoors, on concrete, which was killing my tail bone doing core workouts on my super thin yoga mat. I decided quickly that I needed something thicker and heavier duty to hold up to my new workout regime, but I wasn't up for spending $45+ on the mats sold by the boot camp. I searched and searched and read tons of reviews before settling on this HemingWeigh Extra Thick Foam Exercise Mat. Mine has been used at least 3-4x a week since purchase so far

Mat does not slip - logo is printed on the wrong side of the mat.

 I would prefer the way it is and it be an actual cushion than an inch of foam that still sinks right to the ground and doesn't feel like something soft under you.

 This mat is very soft, spongy & decent length (I'm over 6ft so, it's rare for a mat to be long enough). I'm not sure if it will be best for being non-slip, it might be because it's still new and not broken in. I currently use my other mat on top of this one and that seems to work fine for me. I'm also not sure of how durable it will be in the long term, because of the softer lighter material, but I don't plan on using it for anything other than yoga
